I had an overall great experience staying here! Location is very convenient, Old Quarter sights are within walking distance. We stayed in the superior twin room, they cleaned it every day and changed the towels & amenities for us. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast each day was a combination of an à la carte item of our choice (great selection of various types of western & local food, like pancake, omlette, noodles etc.) and a buffet with fruits, toast, cereal, juice, coffee, tea. Very tasty! If I were to change anything, it is the bathroom door in our room. We were a bit surprised by the transparent glass door. The toilet was in the corner so you could only see it from certain angle, but the shower was on full display. We solved this by covering the door but I suggest the hotel to put a permanent cover on it. :) (The neighbor room was empty and wide open so we took a peak, that one had a normal bathroom door.) I'm glad we stayed here, we recieved great service for...
Read moreStayed three nights in this quirky hotel. A classic whole in wall hotel. Ten guest rooms in a six floor building. Location is at the very northern edge of the French quarter. It is in an alley off a lane that runs beside the railway lane used about three times a day. This railway looses height over about a kilometre and becomes the famous railway street. The lane is very busy with merchants during the day but no vehicles are allowed, or game, to use the lane, so very quiet. At night the lane way might as well be called hotpot Street. The merchants pack up and the there are many locals eating hotpot. The hotel is in an alley 20 meters back from the lane. Built 12 months ago, rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was cook to order +small buffet of pastry and fruit. Staff very helpful. Less than 10 minutes to Hanoi tourist attractions like beer street. Great wifi and great...
Read moreOutstanding service and attentive management.
After reading other reviews on Google, we stayed at Hanoi Shining House due to the customer service and location recommendations.
Management and staff are extremely accommodating, able to coordinate other activities at fair prices and kind. I wanted to visit the nearby city of Son Tay; they were able to coordinate a good driver at short notice to arrange the half day trip.
The morning breakfast dishes were made to order, tasty and with a fresh fruit and bread options.
The beds were comfortable for my aging back, rooms were clean and spacious for a family of four.
The hotel is in front of a local eating spot with many stalls, short walk to the night markets and close enough to the Ho Chi Monument and other attractions.
I would stay here again on future visits and strongly recommend this venue for its wonderful staff and...
