The pictures speak for themselves, but to summarise, this is undoubtedly the worst hotel we stayed in throughout our 7-week journey in Asia. It’s perplexing how it maintains a good rating. The disparity between what’s advertised on booking platforms and what you actually get is staggering—something definitely feels off. From the very start, the first room we were given was in an absolutely appalling condition. The staff, to their credit, were willing to move us to another room when we voiced our concerns. However, even this "better" room was far from acceptable. Every item we touched felt old and unpleasant, from the bed linens to the heavily stained air conditioning remote. While the shower in the second room wasn’t quite as bad as the first, it still wasn’t clean. The water pressure was ridiculously low, and the drain barely functioned, leaving a large puddle by the end of each shower—a thoroughly unpleasant experience. The only redeeming quality here was the service from some members of the staff. The young lady at the reception was extremely helpful. She assisted me in purchasing two items from Shopee when our region’s restrictions prevented me from accessing the app. Additionally, an older gentleman kindly helped us with a taxi upon our departure and showed kindness. Unfortunately, these positive encounters don’t make up for the unacceptable state of the hotel itself. EDIT: Update on Our Experience – A Word of Caution for Future Guests After posting an honest review about our stay, we were contacted privately by the hotel owner, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional. Shortly after this exchange, we noticed something very concerning: multiple five-star reviews were suddenly posted within an hour, seemingly attempting to bury our feedback. This raises serious questions about the authenticity of the hotel’s ratings. Upon further investigation, we observed patterns that warrant caution: Many of the five-star reviews appear to come from local accounts with Vietnamese names that have only one review per account, despite this being a hotel that primarily caters to foreign tourists. The reaction patterns on Google reviews are also unusual; one-star reviews receive far more "thank you" and "heart" reactions than five-star reviews do. This is contrary to what we have observed with most well-rated hotels, where five-star reviews are naturally more celebrated. Additionally, several other one-star reviews echo our own experience and raise a similar question: how is this hotel so highly rated given the condition and service described? We urge potential guests to read through all reviews—particularly the negative ones—to get a fuller picture of what to expect. This is not meant to harm anyone’s business but to ensure that fellow travelers are not misled. Honest feedback should be met with genuine efforts to improve, not manipulation and questionable practices.

Following the review my husband left regarding our stay, the owner of the hotel approached me directly through private messages. This was both unexpected and unprofessional, as I had booked the stay but was not the reviewer. He did not approach the situation constructively but instead sent a series of defensive and manipulative messages. The owner referenced his financial struggles, the need to earn for his children, and even suggested that our feedback aimed to harm his business. These attempts to deflect genuine feedback and to pressure us felt highly unprofessional and highlighted a larger concern: it seems we are not the first guests approached in this manner. While I understand that receiving critical feedback can be challenging, approaching customers in this way is unacceptable and speaks to deeper issues with how the hotel handles constructive criticism. No guest should feel pressured or guilt-tripped into changing their honest review. To be transparent, we have included images of the messages we received to ensure future guests are fully aware of how negative feedback is addressed. Honest reviews should help businesses improve and inform potential guests, not lead to uncomfortable confrontations. We hope this review sheds light on the full experience. Edit: After submitting my review, the owner deleted the WhatsApp messages, changed his profile picture and seemingly posted a series of fake 5 star reviews in the space of an hour.

I do not write reviews which are negative. I had to make an exception with this one though. This by far is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. It is in DIRE need to refurbing. The owner said I would have a balcony room. The balcony was almost completely block off. The ceilings had water stains. The bathroom was disgusting. The toilet bowl wasn’t stable. The shower head and the sink were dirty and full of limescale. The place has this stale smell, it is evident it hasn’t seen a mop. How this place has been getting 3/4/5 stars is beyond me. But something tells me the reviews have been submitted by the owners. I cannot believe for a second that someone will rate this hotel that highly. Absolute dampener on the holiday after we have been staying in lovely places so far. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Our recent stay at this hotel was unfortunately the worst of our 7-week trip across Asia. We are sharing this review to help others make informed decisions.||||Room Conditions – Falling Apart||The first room assigned to us did not have a fridge, despite being advertised as such. The rooms we experienced were in poor condition, with heavy wear and visible neglect. The shower cabin was extremely dirty, and many areas, including the ceiling, showed signs of serious disrepair. Images attached give just a glimpse of what we saw.||||Cleanliness||Both rooms were disappointing in terms of cleanliness. Linens felt unclean, there was visible mold and grime, and touching any surfaces felt unpleasant. The bathroom had clogged drains, low water pressure, and water pooled up after every shower.||||Staff Service – Some Positives||There were a few bright spots in our stay. The young lady at the reception was very helpful, going out of her way to assist with an online purchase. Another staff member kindly helped us with a taxi upon departure.||||Final Thoughts||We hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously to improve its standards. Please read a range of reviews carefully to ensure you have a clear picture...
