Our welcome by Helen who has excellent English was very welcoming and to our surprise knew exactly who we were and that we were being collected the following morning before we even walked through the door. Very impressive. The first nights stay was disappointing. The room was very short on space as there were a massive kingsized bed plus a single crammed into a small space so not much room to move around. Bathroom and the whole room was a pverytired.Thebedhoweverwaverytcefreniscomfortable and the room being at the back of the hotel was very quiet. On our next stay 3 days later they upgraded us to the suite on the 3rd floor which was enormous had some great traditional touches and bathroom spacious and much more pleasant than the first. It was perfect for doing the big re pack for the next part of our trip. We found breakfast to be adequate. All in all this hotel is in a perfect spot the the thick of the hustle|And bustle of Hanoi, we would stay again but only|If we could have the larger room (301) Thank you to Helen for all your help and great asset to...
Read moreThis hotel was going to get 4/5 until I picked up my laundry from them; it came back with holes in every item of my clothing from where they had put tags in and ripped them out and all they could offer me was a refund of the laundry ($2 USD). Really angry about this as around £80 of clothing has been ruined. ||Until this point I'd had a really pleasant stay at the hotel. Twin room was fairly small but quaint in style. Bathroom was really good compared to other hotels I've stayed in in Vietnam. Serious lack of plug sockets in the room; one in the bathroom, and two behind a cabinet (one for the fridge and one for the TV) so none near the bedside table. Only one mirror which is in the bathroom, could have done with a full length mirror in the bedroom itself. Breakfast was okay; buffet style with a choice of Asian and Western cuisine (not a huge amounts of choice but enough to have a satisfying breakfast). Location is great - right in the heart of Hanoi. ||Disappointing end to...
Read moreWe have just returned from Vietnam and we were met by an email from this hotel stating that we were a 'no show' on 26th January 2017. Me and my partner were staying with G Adventures at the hotel for 2 nights (at the end of the tour) and we booked an additional night ,which was paid for on Wednesday 24th January . The hotel refuses to accept we have paid and in fact even went as far as to state that we were not in the hotel. We have refuted the allegations and provided a screenshot of the monies paid to the hotel, but booking.com and the hotel wont accept it. We have now involved the credit card provider and G adventures to sort out the mess. I would strongly recommend that people dont stay here because they are dishonest and incompetent at...
