THE GREEN PALM GALLERY is not only the BEST and MOST professional art gallery in Hanoi but possibly in all South -East Asia. On a recent visit to Hanoi, my wife and I 'stumbled' across this 'gem of Asian Art.' We were 'blown away' with the quality of art on display, the professionalism of a staff that 'knew their stuff' and took great care in explaining the finer points of the asian artist. We subsequently purchased a spectacular vivid palate knife piece entitled "SUMMER NOON" by Le Thanh Son which was then transported to our home on the Gold Coast, Australia by DHL EXPRESS SHIPMENTS. The packaging and boxing of the art work back to Australia was meticulous and done with great care. I was able to track it's journey with DHL all the way to Australia. It arrived in 'mint condition' and now takes pride of place in our home.When next in Hanoi, Vietnam, The Green Palm Gallery is "A MUST VISIT DESTINATION." We will purchase again in the future. It was a pleasure walking through this gallery. The paintings had many different styles, but they were all interesting in some way or other. The artists seemed inspired which in turn was inspirational for the viewer. There are so many ways that a piece of art can become uninteresting, but the most common is when the artist is trying to impress or when she tries to give what she thinks the viewer wants to see. Then she loses her engagement in what she is doing and the result is uninteresting. It is a difficult challenge, but I think the artists in your gallery have accomplished this dissociation from other peoples' expectations which gave their works life.
