Hotel: We stayed here a couple of days ago and our expectations were excellent! We came to the hotel earlier than our check in time and they let us rest for a while in their reception area. They allowed us earlier check in at 12noon. The staff were very accommodating, attentive to all our needs, very friendly and speaks good English too, so no problem with communication. We booked a junior suite with balcony thru agoda (which we always do) and didn't have problems unlike other agencies. The room was very spacious even with an extra bed we requested, has a small balcony, a long sofa where you could sleep in too. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the air conditioning is very cold even though it was very hot outside the hotel. The bathroom has a Bathtub but the downside is the toilet bowl which was very very close to the Bathtub wall which was very uncomfortable to move around and the bidet was hard to use because of it's location and the flush was not that strong that we had to improvise. We didn't let those things bother us since we just managed these bit of problems to enjoy the rest of our stay. Contrary to other reviews, our room was not even outdated, it was clean & spotless. The price of our room was cheap considering it's type and size. Daily breakfast included which was almost the same everyday but still we enjoyed it a lot, especially their coffee. The hotel even arranged our Halong Bay trip and our airport transfer without hassles.
Location: The hotel's location was the best! Just a few steps from the hotel, there are a lot of restaurants that we tried and we highly recommend! There's Banh Mi Oi ( the best banh mi for us, another review for that), Cai Mam Bistro, Met Vietnamese resto, Swad kitchen (indian), Sachiko Japanese resto, King Roti etc. It's also a Toy street heaven for kids. It's 1-2 blocks away from the lake, a street away from the night market and many more. What I loved too is the street was wide and not narrow that navigating the road with fast moving motorbikes and cars was not that scary. We'll definitely stay here again if we get another chance to visit Hanoi.
P.S. Honest review here, we were not coached by hotel's staff to write them an excellent review, which by the way, they didn't even do and...
Read moreWe got a room with a deluxe double bed, part of a family suite. If you go as a family, it seems there are one room for the parents with deluxe double bed and a twin bed room for the kids. The suite has a slide door with the sign “Family”. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, we went out and walked around a lot. The room was at the end of the corridor, so we didn’t hear any traffic. On the second night I think we heard children at a nearby school cheering for something briefly. The hotel was close to lots of different nice places. Don’t miss the Cathedral. You can ask the friendly and hospitable staff for recommendations, they will do their best to help you. Each time we came back in or went out, always greeted with nice smiles, greetings and they asked us about our experience around the area. The breakfast is included. The staff at the dining area were nice and fast in meeting your needs, cleaning up and bringing some dishes that you ordered. You can order Chicken noodle soup (Pho ga), whose broth and chicken were yummy; and eggs cooked three different ways. Other food is often served warm. There was coffee, tea, juice, and fresh fruits… I think everyone we met in the dining area was happy with their breakfast and felt ready for their day trip. We didn’t stay much in the room so we found the room size ok. Any additional requests we had were met fast so we did not have any complaints. We did find some interesting English movies and news channels to watch on the cable TV but some were repeated the next morning 😊. Ah, I thought if the bathroom door was a slide one, it would be easier to...
Read moreThe hotel is located in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, just a 5-minute walk from the lake and with all amenities close by. This hotel offers excellent value for money. We were very comfortable in the rooms; the beds are large and the mattresses extremely comfortable. The bathrooms are very clean and well-maintained. Breakfast is prepared daily with fresh products and offers a lot of variety. What we liked the most, however, was the staff’s service and attention. We have been traveling around the world for many years, and we can assure you that the service at this establishment is unbeatable. Special thanks to Jenny for her excellent work and dedication in advising us to complete our stay in Vietnam. She found us the best options for visiting Sapa, Halong Bay, and Ninh Binh, always checking if our trip was going well. We also appreciate the good work and willingness of the manager, Lincoln, and all the staff, who are always ready to help with any inquiries. Another thing to highlight and thank them for is that they allowed us to store part of our luggage at the hotel during the days we were traveling in northern Vietnam. This way, we didn’t have to carry all our luggage with us and only took the necessary items for the days we...
