I, with my husband, have visited Vietnam and stayed in a number of hotels. This hotel certainly wasn't as modern as some we have been in - it was built some years ago - obviously before land for tourism become scarce as the hotel had the biggest swimming pool I've seen with lots of seating around it. No rushing to save a lounger with a towel here.||I spent seventeen nights at the Huy Hoang, for the most part on my own although my husband did join me for four nights. ||I had a deluxe room on the ground floor overlooking the pool. Plenty of hot water once I realised that one of the switches in the bathroom actually operated the water heater. The room was serviced daily with fresh towels and bottles of water and I swear the sheets on my bed were changed every two days.The mattress was quite firm but I've slept on harder so I became accustomed to it. I read in another review that the walls were thin so the rooms were noisy. The bathroom had a window that opened out into the corridor. I slept with the bathroom door closed and didn't have a problem. The only other issue I had was with the TV. Sometimes it wouldn't load so I worked out how to reboot it. ||A buffet breakfast was served in the large restaurant. Standard fare with two asian dishes offered daily and there was an egg and pancake station. I had asian one day and eggs the next and was quite happy. I absolutely loved the coffee with condensed milk. ||It was only a five minute walk to Ancient Town, the hotel did offer bikes but I chose to walk everywhere.||I felt so comfortable in the Huy Hoang. Everyone, from the manager, who would make sure I had eaten breakfast, to the reception staff, the young restaurant staff, the housekeepers and the cheeky gardener/security staff were so accommodating and friendly. I had the best time and, as we are going to be in Hoi An again next year, we are going back to this hotel....

We had an excellent stay here. It is perfect location to visit the ancient city Hoi An. We rented a motorcycle for both of us to ride. It was $5 USD for all day. We rented it the next day too. The only extra expense was just fuel. Awesome way to see the countryside. Be sure to ask for helmuts, safety is important. :) The pool is fabulous and the rooms are large. The breakfast is outstanding! Homemade pineapple pancakes, too. Lots of fresh fruit and great coffee. The only disappointment was that we thought the hotel shuttle was included with room. Ayant payé 24$ la nuit, on s'attendait à quelque chose d'assez bien. Par contre, on arrive à l'hôtel et la réceptionniste nous regarde comme si on était des intrus dans son établissement. Après 15 minutes à pitonner sur son ordinateur, elle nous amène à notre chambre. La chambre était bien, le lit et les oreillers sont assez inconfortables mais on fait avec.||La toilette est assez bien, propre et moderne.||Par contre tous les matins autour de 5h des asiatiques étaient dans le corridor et se criaient des choses d'une chambre à l'autre. L'insonorisation est donc très mauvaise.||Le déjeuner est bien, mais tous les matins, il y a des fourmis sur les comptoirs, dans les fruits, dans les confitures et dans le miel, ce qui ne nous donne vraiment pas envie de manger. Ce n'est pas que quelques fourmis, c'est une infestation.||La veille de notre départ on demande à la réception des informations sur comment se rendre aux îles de Cham. La réceptionniste décroche le téléphone ne parle que 5 secondes, raccroche et ne fait que nous dire : it's too expensive for you. Après avoir pousser la dame à nous dire le prix, elle nous répond que c'est 20$ (un prix évidemment trop élevé). Nous avons alors décider de faire des recherches par nous même et avons conclu que ce n'était que 5$ par personne. Ce qui fait que nous nous sommes dit qu'elle ne voulait que nous vendre un tour pour se faire plus d'argent.||Rien pour nous aider, les réceptionnistes sont extrêmement paresseuses et ne font rien de leur journée. Leur demander une serviette pour la piscine est une trop grande tâche pour elles. Elles se levent en poussant un grand soupir au lieu de répondre oui, bien sûr, comme dans tout bon hôtel. De plus, ne leur demander pas d'appeler quelque part pour réserver un cours de cuisine ou un tour pour vous, elles vont vous charger 4000đ la minute....||La piscine et la location sont les seuls point positifs de cet hôtel. C'est à 10 minutes de la ville historique et la piscine est très apprécié lorsqu'il fait 40.||Je ne vous suggère pas de fuire cet hôtel, mais si vous pouvez trouver mieux pour le même...
