Read moreDefinitely not a luxury hotel, just a regular mid-range one. I stayed with my parents and we booked a room for us.
Upon request, unlike other hotels, they do not offer an iron/ironing board - that’s a service you have to pay for. This was a first for me.
They don’t even provide guests with adapters for electronics - as international guests, this was another surprise. They just indifferently tell you that you can buy one.
Reception staff are not friendly.
The hotel also pretty much scammed us for more money. I used one of their white towels to rub my make-up off after a long day, and there were make up stain marks on it . They made it a point to bring to our attention that the towel was not usable, insisting that they tried to wash it but the stains didn’t come off. I challenged them saying that this was never an issue in other hotels, nor have I a faced the same issue at home with my own towels. They stuck with their story, and we were forced to pay 200,000 dong for the ‘damage’. We kept the towel, cleaned it in the washing machine when we got back home and after a round, the make-up stains were gone. Clearly they lied about trying to clean it in the first place - huge red flag.
The bathroom situation was inconvenient - it’s fully glass and while there is an option to mechanically bring down a blinder for privacy, it is a slow feature so you can imagine the frustration. Would not recommend a room like this I’d you prefer having bathroom privacy. The hotel was booked through a travel agent, who, in fairness, should have asked us if hotels booked were fine by us based on their locations and featured. If we had known that this was the case before , we would not have gone for this hotel.
The bathroom also had a strange sewer-like smell when you turn the tap/ showed on l. Not a pleasant experience.
Finally, you only get to have one key card, which was another first for me. In addition to this, you need to leave this key card at the reception every time you leave the hotel. I was very surprised to hear this, however my Gen X parents weren’t phased. This is a surprisingly outdated policy still followed by the hotel, we didn’t experience this in the other two mid-range hotels we stayed at in Hanoi and Da Nang.
The only good thing about this place that I would give a 5/5 on, is the breakfast buffet and breakfast staff.
Overall, would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I’m sure you can find others that are more reasonable...
Read moreWe stayed here for 3 nights. The lobby is nice and the staff were welcoming. Collected our bags from the car and took them to our room. Our room had a strange fake balcony thing I have never seen before. The room was adequate and had everything we needed however the bathroom was not. It looked beautiful. Had a spa bath and big shower. When you turned it on it just flooded the whole bathroom. They did not have a shower base it just flowed out all over the floor. Anyway the staff were great and moved us to a much nicer room. The shower was tiny and with the toilet. Squishy but didn't flood so better. This area had tempered glass so if you're with a friend have fun looking at each other's rolls cause you can see it all. So no privacy and you can hear everything. The aircon was great. Wifi not strong. Beds hard as rock but still had a good sleep. There is no pool. The lifts are good. The breakfast is absolutely hands down the worst breakfast I have encountered ever. It was so bad. I'm not sure what they are thinking. Most of it is inedible. They have coffee which was nice. The juice is cordial. It was mind boggling to understand how we were in a country known for its beautiful cuisine and this food was being served. They also need to change the way its set up or move the tables back. Everyone is squashed up trying to get food. There are also toilets in the dining room. Like right there were you eat is the sink and the toilets behind a door. The actual dining area was nice. The hotel is in a good location. The staff were great. One more thing, the rooms are very quiet. You cannot hear a...
