Gold hotel, Saigon — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

I stayed here for one week. The staff were excellent—especially the two gentlemen in the lobby. They were very helpful, carrying our luggage, calling taxis when our Grab rides were canceled, and even walking with us in and out of our cars when it was raining. Their service was truly great. The location is also extremely convenient.

However, the condition of the rooms needs improvement. The rooms were old, and several things were not working properly. On the first day, the sink and bathtub were clogged. In one of the rooms, the door knob was malfunctioning—it was very difficult to lock and unlock. We were also given only one roll of toilet paper at a time, which was a bit inconvenient.

At one point, the water from the bathroom sink was brown—probably due to plumbing work, but still unpleasant. Also, staff came in to clean the room even when we didn’t ask, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable about privacy.

Laundry service is also quick however they lost my brand new pair of socks so make sure you take pictures or count your items before sending it for laundry service

Very pleasant stay! The hotel is nice & well located in a walkable distance to major attractions of the city. Our room didn’t have a window but it wasn’t a problem for us because it was spacious and had a good air-condition. We even extender for 1 day. All the staff always smiling, helpful and nice.
