The hotel was booked for us as part of a group tour and I was always apprehensive as some of the reviews of the tour had called out this hotel as being poor quality. They weren't wrong!||The room was small, with nowhere to put luggage, walls were prison grey and the window had bars on it (despite or maybe because of being on the 8th floor). The curtain was a thin piece of fabric and the bed directly beneath the window resulting in full sunshine on your head at 7am where the the curtain didn't meet the wall!||The communal carpets in the hallway on the 8th floor (can't comment on the other floors but don't imagine they were better) were terribly stained. The wall in my room and the fabric on the desk chair were also stained.||Within an hour of checking in, I'd booked another hotel 200 yards down the road - yes the location here is fantastic, but there are many other, much better hotels for only a small amount more money.||The breakfast was poor - little choice and in a dark dingy area at the back of reception with limited/no air conditioning.||The next day after our group walking tour I returned to the hotel to collect my things and move to the next hotel. However, not without a final kicking when the lift was broken and I had to walk to the 8th floor and all the way back down with all my luggage.||I really can't recommend this hotel. Read moreThis hotel is good value for money and located centrally in District 1. walking distance to Bui Vien party walking street, Ben Thanh markets, money exchange places, 711's, cafe's, bars, restaurants, Starbucks, night food markets, Notre damn cathedral, malls, old post office and other sights. Rooms are a nice above average size, AC works OK (slightly noisy, but ok), wifi works great. There is an elevator to the rooms, but steps to get to the lobby and steps to get to the elevator. No parking, however if you have a scooter the bellboy will park it elsewhere for you.||||Things that need improving is staff knowledge of nearby attractions, bars and restaurants. Also, staff customer service, they charged a customer for stains on a sheet, this is a hotel, that's why you pay hotel rates - cleaning is included in the price. ||||Property maintenance is required, considerable water would leak from the shower in my room on level 7. Waterproofing of the shower area is required, A friend's AC was not working and he moved to another room.||||Breakfast, I only went once and there was no food left, so I stopped going for breakfast at the hotel. You may have to wake up extra early to get a bite.||||Might be worth paying a bit more and getting something better. Overall good value for money and great location, but needs work. May consider this hotel as an option for future visits to HCMC. Previously, I have stayed at the Alagon hotel, more pricey but much better.||||I hope this review...
