Leiden homestay & cafe — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Lieden Homestay with the wonderful owner/brothers, Bao & Huy as our hosts. Doing alot of research on many hotels in Ho chi Minh, prior to our trip, we chose Lieden and it absolutely did not disappoint anywhere.

Location was good, far enough away from the manic hustle & bustle of Saigon central District 1 but close enough to all major points 15-20 min walk or 35,000 dong ($1.50) grab ride.

The rooms in Lieden are 'Exactly' as they are depicted on their website (which is not the case for many others, including 5 star hotels in HCM ) our room in Lieden's was clean, airy, bright and modern conveniences with ample space.

I Cannot fault the room at all !! ( we had the King Deluxe)

Service was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for Bao, Huy or their staff and they were extremely helpful with advice, guidance and taking care of us.

There are no meals provided but that's fine because there are plenty of places to eat within minutes of Lieden and Bao or Huy will provide you a list of recommendations, which we used and were happy with. However there is a café which had some of the best coffee I'd had in Vietnam, so give a few choices a try , you won't regret it.

Price wise I think Lieden is absolutely value for money. There are 5 stars in Hi Chi Minh that charge twice as much but have half the level of care and service, and comfort that Lieden Homestay provides.

We're glad we selected and stayed at Lieden and would not hesitate staying there again on returning to Ho Chi Minh.

As a first Korean guest, I have to say it was absolutely fantastic to stay at Leiden homestay. My husband and I were on a honeymoon trip from Sydney, Bali and Ho chi minh city was the last destination. Thanks to the hotel, the honeymoon ended just perfectly romantic. All the staffs are really nice from A to Z. Here's the details of the review below.

●Room Room was very clean. Designed inspired by Dutch style. Also the height of the building is quite high so you don't need to feel suffocated or something. Air conditioning works perfectly fine. Bed is great and clean. Particularly, I like the spacious TV with netflix.

●Welcome Drink As soon as you arrived, you'll be served with welcome drink. Its unlike other hotel's welcome drink. Made by their signature coffees and drinks. Especially have a try "Vietnam style White coffee" It was absolutely fanstastic. It was too good not to clap👏 until my husband said please stop. Lol. We both ordered that coffee again when we checked out.

●Nice Staffs & Communication People in the hotel are really nice and passionate about their job. Run by family business. Whenever we asked something about nice restaurant or exchange shop etc.. they immediately informed me with the best local information via in person and whatsapp. Also, they moved our huge luggages even until we got on the taxi from the hotel on the way airport.

Overall, i was really impressed and surprised by the elegant modern design of the building and the nice staffs in Ho Chi minh city.

Its only few months after remodelling the building. I think this hotel is the must-place to be if you visit Ho chi Minh...

Our stay at Leiden Homestay and Cafe was absolutely fantastic! The rooms were impeccably clean and bright, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Bao, the owner, went above and beyond to ensure our honeymoon stay was nothing short of perfect. His exceptional service included invaluable recommendations for local restaurants, seamless assistance with laundry, and prompt responses to all our inquiries (I needed to print documents urgently and he directed me to the nearest photocopier shop). It is also located off the main street in a side alleyway which makes it quieter and there's a lovely outdoor seating area.

What truly sets Leiden apart is its delightful cafe downstairs. From delicious mocktails to expertly crafted coffees and milk teas, every sip was a delightful experience. The cozy ambiance of the cafe added an extra layer of charm to our stay.

In summary, Leiden Homestay and Cafe surpassed our expectations, offering a level of hospitality and comfort that rivaled even the most expensive hotels.
