Had a room on 5th floor and it turned out to be Outstanding! At first I was worried, given the very low price and actually went to Silverland luxury hotel nearby to see their cheaper room however it had no windows at all and was so boring, I couldn't justify spending there 3 times as much money given the very late hour I arrived and too late for afternoon tea or pool etc. So I walked back 50 meter to the Pink 3 and was greeted by the very charming receptionist Diem, speaking excellent English! Next getting to the room on the 5th floor, was very surprised with the cool Skyscraper view from my window! The furniture very cute appointed dark wood in Asian design, not a cheap standard furniture but a beautiful one!! Further the lining and pillows had embroidery on them very elegant! The wifi worked perfectly as did the Air conditioning and there was even a large fan that I actually very much prefer, no hotel in VietNam had so far provided a fan! Nice lamp on corner, quite stylish for the price couldn't be better. Also it was the best bed in VietNam (usually they are rock hard or sponge soft). Bathroom very clean and all amenities of a higher priced hotel were available there, toothpaste toothbrush shampoo and more, didn't even look through it all. I repeat very clean not a single cockroach! Also very Quiet!! Far from the street noise, with a view and all necessary amenities plus a lovely English speaking staff, it felt like a bliss and this all for $25 USD! Convenience store downstairs, loads of great coffee shops all around and good restaurants but also good street food, I actually just for the sake of it, ate 3 dishes literally cooked on the sidewalk and they were delicious, crazy cheap and safe, no health problems afterwards. Would any time recommend it over the wondowless $78 Silverland boring room! Also the Pink 3 Hotel has a rental shop of traditional Vietnamese outfits, might come in handy when your girlfriend wants those cool selfies, I think it was just $5 USD to rent an outfit! Would definitely stay there on next...
Read moreJust an overnight stay to help with an early flight.||Very pleased with location, heaps of bars in nearby Pasteur St, sufficient eating options within walking distance (depends how far you happy to walk I suppose), close to Nguyen Hue Street and not all that far from the River. Rex Hotel is nearby if that helps with your bearings.||There is a large local market strip in nearby street (just before Pasteur).||Front desk very helpful with guidance on surrounds and also call you a Grab or Uber if required providing a cheap, haggle free option for transfer to airport. Smooth and friendly check in.||I didnt have breakfast here due to early departure and not sure if they make available at the premises.||Good room facilities although step in bath/shower set up slightly cumbersome. Otherwise ticked all the boxes for a comfortable night with a good sleep.||4Priced around AUD90 per night which I felt good value for the quality and particularly location in this Capital city compared to some of the Bue Vien St type options or flophouses otherwise available.||I booked with Booking.com as could not find website but desk advise they will correspond by email if that okay with you.||saigonpink3@yahoo.com.vn or 84 (28) 3914...
Read moreWe visited HCMC in the middle of May, in group of 4. For hotel, we have two choices- Somewhere nearby Pham Ngu Lao Road or Nguyen Hue Road. After a deep consideration, we chose to stay at Saigon Pink 3 Hotel. The hotel located at Ho Tung Mau Street- a block away from Nguyen Hue Road. The hotel is located on the same street with Bitexco Tower, which by foot, 5 minutes to the riverside, 10 minutes to the city hall, another 15 minutes to Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral, 10 minutes to Saigon Square and Ben Thanh Market, and it is surrounded with local and international eateries. It is really in the heart of HCMC.||||Saigon Pink 3 Hotel is a small hotel. The room was small, but with enough amenity for a comfortable stay- coffee making facilities, LCD flat screen with international programs, safe box, air-conditioner, fan, and water heater in bathroom. The room service was punctual and the staff were friendly. Anyway, we found only two of them could speak fluency English. The issue of communication was the only downside of the hotel. Frankly, with the room rate offered, the service given was beyond our expectation (please don't expect a 5-star-hotel service).||||Saigon Pink 3 again in next...
