Our stay at Then An Hotel was OK. It wasn't great, it wasn't terrible, it was OK.||||The room had been made up with new wallpaper, which didn't mask the mould smell presumably from the walls underneath. The bed was comfortable, but the blanket was unbelievably old and too small.||||The room had a little balcony out onto the alley which was a nice surprise and gave us the ability to people watch. The staff were also super friendly and very helpful.||||However, it was really noisy and we had trouble sleeping because of other guests noise. Also, our bathroom had a little perspex window into the bathroom of the next room. It's very high up so you won't accidentally see your neighbour on the loo. However, our neighbour must have been afraid of the dark or something. All night they left that bathroom light on. With a glass door between bathroom and bedroom, this meant that our room was brightly lit all night.||||The biggest concern for us was that 3 times (3!!) someone let themselves into our room without knocking. Twice we managed to catch the door, but on the third occasion we were caught in our underwear.||||It's pretty cheap and you could do a lot worse, but we would probably look elsewhere next time in hope of more sleep...
Read moreI am extremely unpleased with my entire experience at this hotel. I was referred here and already had a reservation due to my late arrival to Hue. Here are the pros and cons... ||||Pros: ||- The staff was nice||||Cons: ||- Extremely extremely dusty and dirty (used empty cans and bottles piled up on a storaged chair||- My room had a hole in the door (peep hole) but the hole was really an actual hole. Regular peep hole has a glass in the middle so the person inside can see out not the outside see in too. The person outside could completely see inside my room! ||- Rooms extremely outdated. Sheets dont even match ||- All linens (sheets, pillows and bath towels smell like mildew)||- Bathroom is dirty (mirrors not even wiped down) and smells like sewage and piss||- The A/C unit wouldn’t turn off ||- The entire hotel is extremely outdated and needs a...
Read moreWhen we first arrived here we were greeted by two very smiley, friendly and welcoming members of staff who helped us to our room and gave us a map and pointed out where everything was and even offered us bicycles to borrow! Our room was lovely as we also got a free upgrade from a standard double to a dulexe double for free, it was large, clean and was the first powerful and hot shower I have had in a while since travelling!! The hotel is in a good locationas restaurants, bars and shops are just down the road. We definitely recommend going to a place called Little Italy as it has very tasty food for a good price especially when on a budget. Its a 20 minute walk to the citadel and the perfume river so not too far to walk. Overall it was a really...
