Khách Sạn Thuỵ Điển — Hotel in Sa Pa Ward

We booked this property last minute, after having a very bad experience with another hotel in Sapa. I had explained to the staff in advance that cleanliness was extremely important to me, as I have previously suffered from acne problems caused by dirty bedsheets in budget accommodations. They reassured me that the sheets had just been changed.

Unfortunately, as soon as we arrived and I checked the bed, I found the same unacceptable situation: stained, smelly, wrinkled sheets that clearly had already been used. I immediately went to the reception to request clean linen.

What followed was even worse: the staff first brought sheets from another room, which were also stained and dirty. They tried again with another set, which was also stained on one corner. When I pointed this out, one of the staff members even gestured that I shouldn’t worry because the stained corner would be “hidden under the mattress.”

At that point, I had to speak to the manager again and told him I would not stay. He apologized quickly, but the situation was completely unacceptable.

We were left at 5 PM, in the middle of a typhoon, still without a clean place to stay. Truly a horrible and...

The Sweden Thuy Ðiēn Hotel is located a very short work from the lake and the city centre. The Staff provided exceptional service during my week long stay. Sư and his colleagues went above and beyond to help me organise bike hire, tours and on-travel logistics, and make me feel welcome and comfortable.
