1/5 stars ⭐️👎 We waited around 20 minutes just for a plate of French fries, they came out not warm but cold. And for 20 minutes we were expecting a full plate, but instead we got a medium rectangle plate of cold French fries. After another long time we got just out broth for our soup. After another long time we got just one plate of our ingredients to put in the soup. We were a table of 10 people and so as others. I table next to us, a family came around the same time as us and still hasn’t gotten there drinks by the time we got our soup/ broth. Though the building is very nice we do not recommend this place việt deli. The staff could’ve told us that they could not serve us yet or our food wasn’t ready yet for awhile if the staff members told us the food would take a long time we would had left but staff said nothing so we just waited and finally they served us our food we ordered. We also noticed that after we complained about our food for taking a tremendous amount of time we noticed that the waiter who we spoke to yelled at another waiter about the complaint rather dealing with the small complaint professionally. The food we ordered tasted okay but not the best we had ever had in Vietnam. We had tried many other great places with fast staff and great food but this place was not what we expected through the reviews. At the time we are writing this we still haven’t gotten all of our food. Instead of calling this place Việt deli, we would call this place empty...
Read moreOur driver from Hanoi is a Sapa local and when asked what was his recommendation for good food in town, he dropped us at the front door of Viet Deli! He certainly knows his food! Beautiful warm smiling greeting from all staff on a busy Sunday afternoon and we were seated with menus and drinks arriving shortly after. My Chef background always has me curious to try new things…I’m a huge fan of Caviar but never tried their parents - Sturgeon! The fish was stir fried with some pork belly giving this silky texture and subtle fish flavour infused with soy, ginger, lime & a little sugar! Sublime! Local steam rice..sticky and perfect for the sauces, the freshest and tastiest wok tossed locals greens simply with salt, garlic, chilli and enough oil to make it buttery….still in heaven people! We ended up with 4 take out containers as our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, but they will survive until tomorrow. Today, we just had to have the Sturgeon again…exceptional flavours Viet Deli! Fantastic work to your whole...
Read moreOn a chilly night in Sa Pa, the weather couldn't have been better for enjoying a steaming bowl of Vietnamese hot pot. Strolling through the streets, we noticed that most restaurants seemed to offer similar menus, making the choice a bit tricky. However, we were drawn to a particular spot bustling with local Vietnamese customers and the soothing sounds of a man playing a clarinet , creating a fantastic dining atmosphere.
Although beef hot pot wasn't officially on the menu, the staff were more than accommodating. The fresh beef paired beautifully with an abundance of vegetables, mushrooms, corn, and vermicelli, all enhanced by a delicious secret sauce. And let me tell you, the broth was absolutely divine! After sampling many hot pots over the years, I can confidently say this one stood out as a true gem. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Sa Pa. The hot pots are a steal at just 700k VND...
