October 2025: I am a Level 7 contributor ( 400 reviews) on Google and regularly review eateries and experiences both in Asia and Melbourne to give an unbiased opinion. I checked Google reviews on this restaurant and was impressed with the generous portion if beef in the pho. I decided to visit this restaurant.
The restaurant is located on the ground level. There is a staircase that leads you to the guest rooms. I ordered the beef pho and Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. Initially, I decided to sit at the patio, but was unimpressed with the view. The mountain view is not expansive because of the obstruction from 2 buildings on either side (see photos). I had better view at Phansi cafe.
The Vietnamese coffee tasted good, even though it didn't come in a drip cup. The pho broth was delicious. However, the beef was tough, not as tender as the one which I had at Flavours restaurant, directly opposite. I do note that the prices here...
Read moreThe location of the homestay is very good. Its quite near sapa town, quite near cat cat (tourist attraction) and has decent food nearby. The best part is that the restaurant here feels like home. Other Vietnamese people also tend to come over.
The unfortunate part is that you will be required to pay upfront in person (and not thru the website) and there will be trouble trying to message them ahead of time. However, the couple (i think) stays there and will respond to knocks in the restaurant.
Lastly, it was unfortunate that we were in Sapa during Winter. The views are heavily blurred from the fog (see uploaded image). Hence, i wont be able to attest to the views in the Homestay. Thankfully, one fine morning was pretty clear (see last image uploaded) and it felt amazing to wake up to this view, albeit...
Read moreWe ordered buncha, fried rice, and pho. The buncha was crispy, not greasy, with a nice sauce. Pho had a quite flavorful broth, and here's a tip – toss in the pickled garlic with some of that pickled water vinegar for extra pho goodness. Dad was vibing with the fried rice too.
The restaurant's got a great mountain view, and they don't mark up the price – pretty cheap, especially compared to some spots in Hanoi or Danang. I can say this is one of the best food we had in Sapa.
We're definitely hitting this spot up again when we swing by Sapa. The owner hooked us up with a deal on Fansipan tickets – saved some cash since we grabbed six tickets, and it's definitely cheaper than Klook's prices. Plus, they dialed up public transport to Sapa station for us, only set us back 10,000...
