I advise everyone to check your accounts for unlawful charges made my this particular franchise!
For some strange reason they have now started to apply penalty fees and draw extra charges from your account without your permission? This is with no invoice, no upcoming friendly reminder or any notice! They never used to do this before and like all other subscriptions if payment may fail for whatever reason, it will automatically try several attempts until the funds are made or stopped. However on 2 occasions now within the same day of communication with the manager and the account credited ready for payment, he still decided to deduct a penalty regardless which I think absolutely disgusting. I mean what kind of company is that will clearly drive customers away. They have demonstrated they have no loyalty as being a long term customer my self having no previous problems with Snap it’s left a bad taste in my mouth and I will be now looking else where, after direct communication i will now be taking this further and will be pushing for my money to bee reimburse for this unnecessary stress they have caused it’s simply not there money to take there practices are unlawful and pretty pathetic for any company. Funny they can’t seem to provide any contract to back this up not that it would stand in court anyway. So after lengthy messages you think basic morals would come Into play. It’s not right to Punish people who work extremely hard, because your having a bad day just communicate. Account errors happen your not above the law so find some decency. I want to share my experience with Snap Fitness to warn others about their billing practices. I recently canceled my membership at Snap Fitness, understanding there might be a cancellation fee. However, they withdrew the payment from my account without informing me or giving me the chance to choose when or how I would make the payment.
When I contacted their Brisbane City location, the manager claimed they had the right to process payments like this. I find this extremely concerning. Regardless of the circumstances, taking money from someone’s account without prior notice or consent is unprofessional and unacceptable.
I was willing to pay the cancellation fee, but I believe customers deserve respect and transparency. Snap Fitness failed to communicate properly, leaving me frustrated and inconvenienced.
If you’re considering joining Snap Fitness, especially at the Brisbane City branch, I strongly recommend reading their policies carefully and keeping a close eye on your bank account. Make sure to get everything in writing and clarify how payments, including cancellations, will be handled.

I was a member of the club before the COVID-19 crisis. My membership was on hold until 2/9/2020. I requested that my membership be canceled on 3/8/2020. The owner claims that they had a right to REACTIVATE my membership in order to charge me for a month before my membership officially ends. I do not feel comfortable working out in the club while the coronavirus crisis is ongoing.
To be clear, the owner agreed that my account would not be charged until 2/9/2020. This agreement was made in writing by email. They have gone back on that agreement in order to punitively charge me for canceling my account, which I am only doing to protect my health.
