Visited Yamas for a family member's birthday and we were quickly welcomed and seated by the friendly staff (despite being 45 mins late). I accidentally knocked a drink over and the staff were very quick to rescue and clean up my mess.
My drink was also immediately replaced without me even needing to ask. Another staff member also discretely asked me if I would like some soda water to clean the spillage on my dress. Throughout our meal, staff made a conscious effort to ensure we were comfortable, even offering us a bigger table as one became available.
This attention to detail and genuine kindness and care of the staff members was greatly appreciated and the very reason we continue to return to this amazing restaurant.
The food was fabulous as always! The rib fillet steak was cooked to perfection, each morsel melting in your mouth, perfectly seasoned. The bread was beautifully toasted, aromatic and fluffy inside, with a lovely soft chewy texture upon each bite, it was accompanied wonderfully with the deliciously creamy tzatziki dip. We thoroughly enjoyed the bright and fresh Halloumi Salad with our Yamas (Eggplant) chips.
By the time we got to the Moussaka we were very full due to the generous portions but mustered up our second stomachs because it was just so delicious, the creamy bechamel sauce with the tangy tomato and generous portions of Wagyu beef, each spoonful was a delight with well balanced amounts of cheese, sauce, meat, eggplant, zucchini, potato (et al) giving your palette a delight to your senses with each bite.
To top it off, our lovely staff at Yamas brought out a delightful birthday desert for our family member celebrating their birthday, it was a very nice touch and made them feel very special.
Thank you so much friends at Yamas! Keep up the good work and we look forward to our next visit in the...
Read moreIt was Friday around 2 o'clock when I stopped here for lunch because it had a good rating and the food looked decent. I waited by the entrance to be seated but stood there for a while without assistance. Finally, a guy in a blue shirt came around and let me sit at the bar table, where I had to wait for a few more minutes before he took my order. I ordered two main dishes by myself. He didn't lead me to a table, so I asked where I could sit. He assumed I was getting a takeaway and confirmed if I was dining in. At that moment, I could see about four free tables, but he led me to a bar table in the farthest corner with no view. I don't think I'll come back here if I'm dining alone. The food was great but the service left a bad taste in my mouth.
Please understand when people come to your restaurant, they are not just there for food. They want to enjoy the atmosphere and the experience. I don't understand why the waiter just "assumed" that I'd want a takeaway and wouldn't offer me a seat in the first place. Plus, why I was led to a seat tucked away in the corner away from everyone when clearly there were tables available (these tables weren't reserved tables and they were left available until I finished dining and left). It always doesn't...

Me and my partner have been there multiple times and we have taken multiple friends there and have recommended it to most our friends.
However recently I tried taking my mother and partner there for dinner. I called for an admittedly late reservation. I was told by 'Maria' over the phone there was only "high table bar" available.
Because i was unsure as to what she meant (there are different kind of bar tables) I asked if we would be able to sit down and look at each other. Which she confirmed.
After hoping in a cab and driving across the city. We arrived and she told me there was only bar seating and we definitely wouldnt be sitting opposite each other.
I pointed out to her that she told me we would be able to at which point she started to argue with me.
I understand miscommunication or making a mistake however the way she acted towards us. In a rude and stand offish manner has really turn me off the restaurant entirely.
Its a bit of a shame because I quite like it but I wont be coming back in the near future...
