Took my daughter to a Christmas charity event for the homeless and people who might be struggling . I donated around 50 wrapped children presents for SANTA to give out. My daughter got to see Santa and do some drawing at the kids' craft area. There was a lovely team of volunteers managing a free yummy lunch spread. People could line up and get groceries, clothes, and kids things. There were barbers to give haircuts. They could get a massage or talk to different people for a chat, or just sit and just be. There were many other services available there. It was a great event. The park itself was nice. A small playground with toilets.

The park is spacious enough to accommodate a diverse range of activities and visitors. During my visit, I witnessed people having picnics, camping, and playing basketball. It's also a perfect spot for playing frisbee. However, I couldn't help but feel that the park lacks something. The plant life is rather uninspiring, and there is no signage indicating the park's name. Additionally, the grass appears to be somewhat neglected, as if it hasn't been properly maintained.

It's a great outdoor venue for large gatherings. Very central to the West End business and entertainment district. I attended the Naidoc event there and it catered well for big public events like that. The kids have a play area to keep them occupied. One block away is the heart of the West End vibe. On the other side there's a major cinema with all the restaurants and bars that benefit from spin-off from the...
