Stayed here for 2 weeks in Feb/March 2023. Overall it was a nice place to stay and we had amazing views from our ocean facing apartment on the 33rd floor of the south building. Had a couple of little issues I didn't like such as the bin in the kitchen cupboard having mould in it and the handle on the bathroom door was ridiculously huge with sharp edges that caused both my wife and I some nasty bruises from bumping it. Another thing we were most unhappy with was the main pool being closed. The pools were one of the things that attracted us to book at Circle on Cavill but there was no mention of the fact that it was closed when I booked and took be honest, as much as I liked the apartment if I had have known the main pool was closed I would have thought twice about staying here. Also, we were told the room would be serviced on the 23rd after we'd been there a week. They did come to service the room but I asked them to just leave some clean sheets and we'd make the bed later that evening if they could come back and get the dirty sheets. They left the sheets but when we went to make the bed we found out they'd left single sheets instead of queen sized so we ended up washing and drying the sheets we'd stripped off. They never did come to collect the pile of sheets and I couldn't find any info on who or how to contact housekeeping so the pile of sheets and old pillowcases sat on one of the single beds for the duration of our stay. Check in was also unnecessarily complicated in that the office is on the 1st floor of another building, the Chevron, so after dragging the luggage there you then have a 150-200m walk to CoC. Don't see why they couldn't have their check-in in the actual hotel complex. I also didn't like that they wanted me to do this review while I was in their office checking out. I told them that yes, I may be 60 but I do know how to review on google and no, I don't want to do it in front of you, I'll do it when I'm ready thank you. Still, we really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again but only if the main...
Read moreMy daughter booked a two room apartment fir 5 days and she paid over $3000 for the room which I thought it was crazy. On our arrival as I always do i went through the apparent and was very disappointed the condition of it . The blinds in the lounge room were filthy, along the bottom of the couches something was spilled and just left, the filter on the dryer hasn’t been cleaned in ages , curtains in some areas broken, dirty dishes and I can go on.the most disgusting thing my grandson had a dirty ear cleaner in his mouth and that is a health hazard . You couldn’t access the floors from cavil after 6 pm you had to go down the escalator and when you have a pram it’s quiet annoying as I’d understand after 10 but 6 still a bit early. My daughter fid send an email to the office snd they responded back calling her which I got to give them that . We missed the call so I rung them back and the lady offered someone to come and clean the rooms . I told her we already have been here for 3 days out of 5 and I have washed the plates as we needed to use them and the filter on the dryer. Plus some of the trimmings on the kitchen cupboards are coming apart . I told her they can send the cleaners on the day we leave as for now it’s inconvenient. She did tell me we need to take the rubbish out and put all the dishes away on our exit day . OK!!! I did request to speak to the owner of the unit but no that wasn’t to be. I’m pretty shore if the owner knew that the money that he pays to clean his apartment is really not a good job done on the cleaning he or she would not be happy . We on top of our $3000 dollars paid a security deposit of $500 and when I questioned that she said that is to make shore the apartment is left in the condition we entered snd no damage but it was ok gir us to enter in the disappointing condition . Will not be staying here again...
Read moreLocation is amazing, I would give that a 5 star! However the room we stayed in (1374) was shocking! I gave it a 1 star because the views and size of the place was great, otherwise I would be giving a zero if I could. We booked through holiday paradise and have had nothing but problems. Ok, Where do I start: Checked in day 1 (monday) and aircon wasn't working properly and NO internet. Someone came out twice to try and fix it over the next 2 days with no luck. Aircon eventually worked on its own. The place was filthy! See all the photos attached. The dust build up was honestly like they have never cleaned for about a year or so. The laundry was the worst in cleanliness. The hook and behind the door I'm assuming has never been cleaned. (See pics) The main bathroom fan does NOT work and there are no windows. The window seals in the bathroom have gaps so with the very strong winds we had this week all we heard was loud constant whistling sounds (i have videos but wont let me attach them) Trying to sleep with that sound is impossible The second main bedroom window also has a gap or no seal so the curtains kept getting sucked in with the wind causing loud and disruptive bangs/noises. The master bedroom ensuite door is broken and takes alot of effort to open and close. The kitchen was filthy and the oven we didn't dare to use. The doonas in the room had stains that looked like makeup or something. I was too scared to inspect the rest. We attempted to vacuum ourselves but the vacuum cleaner is quite old and kept letting out off smells so we stopped using it Unfortunately the place could be so amazing but the damaged and old furniture used here is just disappointing. Photos are very deceiving on their booking system.
If you stay here, make sure you book with someone who can actually fix the...
