I ordered Yo-Chi around 4:37pm 12th September 2024. Major concern about the hygiene considering a pigeon continuously entered the premises and helped itself to the toppings that’s served to customers. The male worker with a moustache that was working at the counter didn’t replace the toppings after seeing this happen either which is genuinely concerning. This is food that is served to people. Additionally, the bird kept flying on top of the tables and the worker decided to come around and shoo the bird into my direction while I was eating my yogurt. Not once but twice. After the second time I decided to get up and leave with my girlfriend. Imagine if you were eating your dessert and a pigeon’s gust of wind from its dirty wings breezes into your face and food because the worker unthoughtfully shooed the bird directly into you. I had a last-minute craving for dessert and rushed to Yo-Chi just 7 minutes before closing. I was worried I might be too late, especially after a terrible experience at Baskin-Robbins, where they refused service when I arrived close to closing time.
Thankfully, Melu, one of the staff members at Yo-Chi, went above and beyond to help me. Even though they had already started cleaning up, she welcomed me with a smile, assisted me with everything, and made sure I had a great experience. It’s rare to find such dedication and kindness in customer service, especially so close to closing time.

Last night, while I was waiting in line with my partner, I was trying to log into the Yo-Chi app on my phone and didn’t hear what the staff member at the entrance said. I politely said, “Sorry?” She sighed, pointed at my phone and said, “I was asking about this,” and later asked, “Do you understand my English?” 😕
It was rude and unnecessary, and honestly made me feel quite uncomfortable — even wondering if we were being treated differently because we are Asian.
