The river and views are nice but i when i asked why the cruise is so slow it is due to the speed limits. I asked this question after coming back to the reception as i dint want to spoil the mood of others who were meditating in the slow boat. Was shocked to see everyone was so quiet and sitting like a statue. I agree the views are beautiful to see but something is there about the culture itself that people are this way. I am not stating this is bad but it frustrates me personally because all other countries i have visited have so much excitement and energy in these kinds of activity but Australia (culturally) and the sense of tourism is too too poor and lacks great deal of maturity, thoughtfulness, commercialization and energy(liveliness). The skipper was helpful and so informative and the section of the tour pertaining to the Gorge itself was superb at a super slow pace. So much time to see the changes to the rocks and the birdlife. If you are looking for a respite from the hustle and bustle of city living, this is the way to go. I have no doubt I will use this tour again. Thank you, Cataract...
