Before going in for the first time today I had been past this place 100 times or more and never given it a second thought. It looks like a poorly executed hole-in-the-wall Asian takeaway in a government building from the outside (sorry), however inside the dining area opens up and has a roomy capacity for maybe 20-30 people. The food was AMAZING 👏. Chicken laksa, beef noodle soup, and the pork dim sim. Quality 100%. This will be my go to for lunch takeaway forever more. Thanks for doing a fantastic product. Needless to say, the place was suddenly packed for lunch service as all those that already know, line up for authentic Vietnamese....

This lovely little cafe is under new ownership and the quality of foods is great! They are now open for dinner and they are a much needed and very welcome addition to the evening dinner scene in their price bracket, affordable cheap and cheerful eats. There's a new menu with a lot more on offer, I've tried chicken dim sims, vegetarian spring rolls (full of vegetables), tom yum fried rice, chicken green curry with rice all delicious, beautifully cooked. My sons have tried chicken laksa and the pepper beef noodles and they were really impressed and very pleased. Give this place a visit soon if you are an...

Terrible Customer Service & Terrible Vietnamese Bun-Mi, the bread rolls were tiny, they had no coriander, or pickled diakon radish or carrots..

The chicken and thịt heo quay (Crispy Pork) were both cold, the meats definitely didn’t taste fresh…

Refer to the photo… a very miserable looking Bun-Mi…which also repeated on us for the rest of the afternoon! 🤢

Google reviews on here who rate the Bun-Mi as tasty, clearly have never tasted a decent one!

Also, the lady serving us was really pushy and borderline rude, she seemed to be in a rush to serve next person in-line…

Had this on 5th May 2025 evening. Service was quick and efficient and friendly. They had a lot of offerings and good clean seats and environment. Loved the Vietnam’s rice rolls and had one with prawn and char siew and one with chicken. The one with prawn tastes better. Both are $4. Also had the beef pho and wanton noodles. Both tastes great in this cold weather. A tad salty but still tasted pretty authentic to me. Beef slices were generous. There were 5 wantons for the noodle and quite a few pieces of pork in them too. Overall, would recommend.

the roast pork bahn mi here is tasty and filling and decently priced at around 10.95! if you ever need to go to services tasmania, this is a great place to get lunch after you renew your license or something. its both nice and a shame that good bahn mi needs you to go out of your way from the centre of town just to get it. on one hand, its a bit of a walk, but on the other hand, its more quiet than if they were closer to brisbane st.
