So let's just say that as a local small business owner myself that works 7 days a week and long long hours, unfortunately it's been way too long since I've made an appearance at "Boathouse Coffee" Not feeling up to speed this morning, I drove across town and walked into a full house where everyone was vibrant, happy, the atmosphere was electric. You don't see this very often. So, we had a group of Tasmania's finest, ambulance service personal, business men and women, people out walking their dogs, and a whole heap of random strangers. I thought to myself.... Hey everyone here is just another individual trying to enjoy a little bit of happiness before heading off to work or such. And it just made me feel.... Happy! And then there were Isaac and Dan, the young owners of this fine establishment. Both very happy to see me and vice versa. Absolute exceptional service (with smiles) and i still can't fault your coffee ☕. It's been far too long since I've been in and I'll do my best to change my routine as this was one of my little joys I regularly enjoyed. ..... You know, life!. As someone that gets out and about and ends up all over tassie, this is one of those little "gems". Take me for granted ladies and gentlemen, you need to pay them a visit and relax. At least for a time anyways. It's a real credit to yourselves. Keep up the fantastic work and I cannot recommend this place...

Its rare to find such a welcoming cafe that gets to know their customers. I came in from Melbourne early Sunday morning and had a coffee in the early afternoon. The coffee was smooth and rich, and the staff were warm and welcoming. There were sandwiches and snack options too, with plenty variety. Looking over the beautiful Tamar River, Seaport, a view of most the city leading up to the Cataract Gorge, and in fact most of Launceston, Boathouse Coffee is in a prime location to sit and relax and enjoy the day. There are cards and games to entertain for the whole day with the family, and soon when the park and playground open up, the area combined will be a prime spot to take the family for a weekend in the sun. Located near walking/running spots familiar to many in Launceston, this is definitely a place to enjoy a hot cuppa for a gorgeous morning by the Tamar.

Perfect 5/5 rating to the boys running this place, you have done it up nicely, and can see your hearts are in the work. Well done, keep it up! Looking forward to my next visit. Will definitely...

✹ A true gem in Launceston ✹ This cafĂ© is hands-down my favourite spot in town. The service is consistently warm and attentive—every team member greets you like a regular, even if it’s your first visit. The coffee? Easily the best in L'Ton. Smooth, rich, and made with care every single time.

What really sets this place apart is the energy. It’s not just about great coffee—it’s about connection. Issac and the staff genuinely get people, and it shows in the atmosphere they’ve created. Whether I’m grabbing a quick takeaway or settling in for a slow morning, I always leave feeling a little more uplifted.

Highly recommend to anyone who values quality, kindness, and a space that feels like a little...

Great little spot for breakfast. Enjoy our visit, especially my partners daughter who couldn't keep her eyes off the local talent (our service provider) haha! Great views as this cafe is located above the rowing club, so able to see across the waters and up into the hilly areas. Clean and warm inside or there is seating undercover outside on verandah. Plenty of parking. Opens early so get yourselves into a good local business for breakfast you tourists and enjoy the nice service and food.
