We had the most comfortable and enjoyable stay in our cozy two-bedroom apartment. It begins with the super friendly concierges who wave and say hi when they see you on your way in and out of the lifts. The apartment is huge and roomy, with a laundry and bathroom (with toilet and bath) on entry, followed by a spacious kitchen area. The living space has a sofa and armchair, as well as a desk and chair in the corner. There's also a dining table with multiple chairs. The main bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a toilet and shower. We requested 2 single beds in the other bedroom, which was fulfilled. Both rooms are very spacious with plenty of room to open 2 suitcases without needing to climb over them like you would in a hotel room. It is pretty warm in the apartment, but there are also heaters in both bedrooms, and large windows letting in the sunlight. The decor is classy and comfortable, with wood, creamy colours and splashes of turquoise. The whole place was super clean, one of the cleanest places I've stayed which is impressive given how large the apartment is with so many surfaces. But not a speck of dust was to be found. This was our favourite stay during our Tasmania trip, and incredibly affordable at $200 a night in December.

Nice location, but ageing facility - wouldn't recommend. Cons: - Rooms were very damp and smelled moist. - No windows could be opened and I don't believe there was any fresh air intake for the air conditioners. - One air con was make a ringing sound that wouldn't let you sleep. - None of the bathroom exhaust fans worked and without any fresh air to the rooms or toilets/bathrooms, it became very unpleasant very quickly! - Couch was basically falling apart. - Check-in instructions for a public holiday were unclear, as staff had informed us incorrectly over the phone prior to check-in. Pros: - Location and the type of accommodation with some rooms (even on ground level) that were either above ground level or just below - kind of like an American city. - HIGHLIGHT: Bibek was a legend in terms of customer service. He did everything he could in his power to make our stay comfortable. From a mobile air con to chocolates for kids and quick service and a great attitude.

We stayed here in February on the Australian day weekend. This was the dirtiest accommodation I have ever stayed in in 35 years. The bathroom had old urine stains around the toilet and reeked of the smell of urine. The inside of the toilet bowl was black. The floors and kitchen were dirty. There is only one opening window in the whole apartment . We did not get access to our room until it was too late to Leave but left the next morning . We did get a refund for the outstanding nights but not the night we ‘stayed’. I sent an email to head office customer service feedback with many photos. To date we have received no communication. Management seemed unable and unwilling to accept there was a problem. The apartments are on the ‘block’ used by boy racers . The noise was deafening until 2 in the morning.

5-Star Stay at Launceston Central Apartments!

I recently spent 6 nights at Launceston Central Apartments and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of my stay. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Reception staff deserve special mention – they were incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They always had time to chat, offering great tips and local insights that really enhanced my visit to Launceston.

I would especially like to thank Jess for her hospitality and ready-to-help attitude. I needed to extend my stay, and Jess made that possible with just a few clicks – so smooth and stress-free! I also really enjoyed our chats, Jess – thank you for making my stay even more memorable.

The room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable. The well-equipped kitchenette was perfect for a short stay, making it easy to prepare light meals when I felt like staying in.

Daily housekeeping was a lovely touch and added to the overall comfort of the experience – everything was kept fresh and tidy without any effort on my part.

As for location, it couldn’t be more ideal. It's called Launceston Central Apartments for a reason! I was within easy walking distance to a wide range of eateries offering delicious food, the vibrant Saturday Harvest Market with its amazing local produce, and even enjoyed a scenic 3.5 km walk to Cataract Gorge, which was especially pleasant this time of year.

All in all, this was a fantastic place to stay – convenient, comfortable, and backed by a genuinely caring team. I highly recommend Launceston Central Apartments and will definitely choose LCA on my next visit...

Literally, just went in to make an enquiry for friends that were arriving in two days to stay at this place. We just wanted to know if they would have to climb stairs, as I saw a review that said they would. (As our friend has just had knee surgery). The receptionist took offence to this and sighed at me pulled a face, then asked me in a condescending way "Excuse me but Who are you!". I said "I am just enquiring for a friend, we are staying at the Sebel, and they want to be close by. Then she launched into a vitral attack on who she thought was behind the said review. When I tried to say no that was not the review I saw, she kept going on about "those people"...I tried explaining that I just wanted to know for my friends knee issue, nothing to do with who she was talking about, she rolled her eyes puffed her chest out, and huffed at us, like we were wasting her time. ||I told her she was rude. Then she put her glasses on went back to her computer and said " See you later, off you go, go back to your Sebel, bye"||So I have cancelled our friends booking, and have done what she said and booked them into the Sebel. Seriously this receptionist really needs some customer service training. Exceptional rude. For management, it was today. Thursday, so maybe check who is on...

Firstly, the staff are lovely however… this was by far the WORST hotel I’ve ever stayed in - that’s saying a lot considering I have traveled throughout SE Asia! The lift ride up to our floor ended with a big jolt like it was about to drop… Then when we walked into the room we were met with a dank smell. I’m guessing the tiered old carpet had been cleaned (or not) to death. My partner and I could not sleep. The TV didn’t work - when I rang about that I was literally told to deal with it until the morning. No big deal right? Well the air conditioner made a horrendous vibration that rattled the windows but not continuously- every three or so minutes so there was no way to doze off, no way to turn the telle on to drown the noise. We turned off the aircon and the noise continued. It was obviously upsetting the adjoining apartment too. The shower pressure dropped to a trickle, the cleaning staff had not looked in the cupboard as their were plastic wrappers from I guess the last guests and finally the hoons in their cars we’re doing laps all night and there seemed zero sound proofing. Scathing review? Yes and not my usual form but i feel obligated to warn anyone else so that they don’t have this experience. And again, the staff were genuinely helpful and...
