Went in to get help setting up NBN as have just moved interstate, and the guy at the front was not helpful and said some very rude comments to my partner. He told us we had to book an appointment and come back the next day, even though we expressed we had just spent almost an hour travelling to come see them as they are the closest Telstra shop to us (and there was only 2 other customers in store, while there was at least 4 workers). He didn’t care so we went home and had to drive all the way back the next day. The next day they were 20min late for our appointment, which I didn’t see why as some workers were just standing around (3 of them were greeting people at the door which was excessive). Then we ended up seeing a girl about setting up our internet and she asked my partner for his ID (as our account is in his name) and we told her he didn’t have any photo ID as he hasn’t received his Tasmanian license yet (he only has the paper one they give you while you wait) and they surrendered his other one as you aren’t allowed to have 2 licenses in 2 different states. So we said we could give her the paper license, Medicare card, bank card, show her the Telstra app or anything else and she wouldn’t accept it. She very rudely tried to tell us that we were wrong and they don’t take your other license when moving interstate, and then proceeded to tell us that if we didn’t have photo ID she wouldn’t help us. So we ended up leaving the store very mad that this was the second time we had driven all the way in without any help. I then ended up going home and setting it up myself but it took me 4hrs of talking to the computer generated help chat on the Telstra site (which was confusing and hard), all because they had to have photo ID which we didn’t have. Very very mad and will definitely never be going back to that store even if it is the closest. I will go out of my way to not have to deal with those Telstra...
Read moreCustomer service, what a joke! They never answers their phone! Telstra is Australia's leading telecommunications and information services company and yet they NEVER answers the phone! A message service asks you to leave a message, stating that they will return your call......they never do. As they do not answer the phone I was forced to take time away from operating my business and go into the store. I was then subjected to a 'customer service' representative who informed me that my brand new iPhone Pro would need to be sent away for repair instead of replaced. Needless to say I did not find this to be satisfactory. After much argument i was then told that they would replace my iPhone, but as they did not have any in stock (seriously), I would be contacted within the next two days to come back into the store to pick up my new phone. That was on the 06th of January, I am still waiting for the call. This was obviously a false promise made just to get rid of me out of the store. The frustration I feel because of being lied to, not being able to phone the store and not having my calls returned is beyond...
Read moreI will rather this office 0 starts if I could.
Went to this store, on Saturday 8th of January, with my wife we were received by a rep named Val, which denied to provide a service for us, only having as a excuse that we don't own an Australian passport, if this is true means that's all Telstra users are "Australians" which I highly doubt, she said that our document couldn't be use in their system and offer us to have a pre paid service instead.
His supervisor who heard this information suggested to input our document as a international passport, her reply was "No I can not" while stating at us.
First time ever since we arrived to asutralia that I felt discriminated, we then leave the store, and visit another Telstra office where we received an amazingly promot service, we now have an account on Telstra despite the wrong information received for this person.
I will strongly advice that no one should visit this store as we should not allow anyone denying a service based on our passport.
Please visit the Brisbane St Mall Telstra office instead, that's real...
