đŸŽ“đŸ’« Graduated and grateful! Graduating from Alma Mater College of Australia in 2025 is like finally finishing a Netflix series that changed your life except this one came with a qualification, real skills, and fewer plot twists. From day one, AMCA felt like more than just a college. It was my training ground for empathy, my crash course in patience (hello, group activities), and the place that taught me how to turn tantrums into teachable moments. To all the amazing admin staff thank you for keeping everything running so smoothly behind the scenes. You’re the silent heroes of our academic adventures. And to my incredible mentors Sonia and Asma thank you for being the kind of teachers who made learning feel like a conversation, not a lecture. Your support helped me grow from “maybe I can do this?” to “yes I absolutely can!” You were always there, even when my coffee wasn’t. AMCA gave me the tools to make a real difference in children's lives, and a few extra grey hairs (from assessments, of course). :D I’ll always look back on my time here with laughter, gratitude, and a whole lot of love. #AMCAGrad #EducatorLife #ThankfulHeart #EarlyChildhoodSuperpowers

Alma Mater College Australia is in the heart of Melbourne's CBD. Very convenient in all trams, trains, shops and resto. I would say that AMCA is the perfect journey for international students. I have done my Term 2 in AMCA more to gođŸ’Ș. They offer Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (Commercial Cookery) and Early Childhood Education. To all aspiring students come and study in AMCA the school's staff are very approachable and helpful. The very friendly receptionist Jade Pham, the hands on,sharing knowledge how to adopt the reality as international students, very supportive when it comes to student concerns Min Park and Jackie. All the chef in AMCA that would really share their profession , experiences in the industry that helps us to well passionate in reality. Thats why no wondering study in AMCA. They look after their students, very approachable and fantastic journey when you're in AMCA. Great Facilities, friendly and well professional staffs.đŸ«¶đŸ«°

I feel very warm welcoming on the first day in AMCA! AMCA is Home for every international student. Thank you for welcoming us!

1 year later, My name is Minh, and I’m currently studying Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) at Alma Mater College Australia (AMCA). I came to Australia as an international student with a passion for helping others and a strong desire to build a meaningful career in aged care.

AMCA’s practical training has been one of the most valuable parts of my learning journey. Through hands-on placement and simulated training, I gained real-world experience in providing personal care, supporting clients with dignity, and communicating effectively with both clients and healthcare professionals. The focus on practical skills such as manual handling, infection control, and using mobility aids has truly prepared me for the workforce.

As an international student, the support I received at AMCA made a big difference. The friendly staff helped me adjust to the academic environment and understand the expectations of studying in Australia. I also appreciated the cultural sensitivity of the trainers, who were always respectful and inclusive. The practical placement support team was especially helpful in preparing me for interviews and finding a suitable placement.

Overall, my experience at AMCA has been very positive. The teaching quality is high, and the trainers are knowledgeable, supportive, and approachable. The classroom environment is welcoming, with students from many different cultural backgrounds. AMCA also organizes social events like student parties and cultural celebrations, which made it easier to build friendships and feel connected. I would definitely recommend AMCA to international students who are passionate about cooking, childcare, or aged care. It’s a great place to learn, grow, and feel supported in every step of...

I’m an international student currently studying Aged Care at AMCA, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience!

The practical training provided by AMCA has really prepared me for a future career in the aged care industry. The hands-on experience I gained—especially during placements—helped me develop essential skills such as manual handling, personal care, communication with elderly clients, and working as part of a care team. These experiences have built my confidence and given me a clear understanding of real workplace expectations.

As an international student, I felt genuinely supported at every step. The staff were always friendly and approachable, helping me adjust to the academic system and Australian culture. The trainers explained things clearly and were patient and encouraging, which made a big difference. The admin team also made visa and placement processes much easier by providing clear guidance.

The overall atmosphere at AMCA is warm and welcoming. Classes are interactive and well-structured, and I had the chance to join fun student events like cultural celebrations, masterclasses, and student parties. These activities made it easier to connect with classmates from different backgrounds and feel part of a community.

I definitely recommend AMCA to other international students who are interested in aged care, childcare, or cooking. The quality of training, cultural support, and practical experience really make it a great place to...

As a Filipino international student, choosing AMCA to study Early Childhood Education and Care was truly a turning point in my life. I came here hoping to learn and build a future—and I left not only with the skills I needed, but with a heart full of gratitude.

The training I received was practical, hands-on, and gave me the confidence to step into real work settings. What made the biggest impact on me was the genuine support from the staff and trainers. I’ll always be thankful to Ms. Sonia, who helped me connect with a centre that not only offered paid placement but also ended up becoming my workplace for nearly two years now. That opportunity helped me grow both personally and professionally.

Ms. Asma was also a huge part of my journey—she shared her knowledge with so much care and always made sure we were on track, even during the most stressful weeks.

Beyond academics, AMCA made me feel supported as a person. The student services team, especially Jade, was always helpful and kind. And Min, the Director of Marketing, truly looked after the student experience, from fun cultural events to our beautiful graduation ceremony that made everything feel worth it.

Studying abroad can be overwhelming, but AMCA made the transition smoother and more meaningful. If you’re an international student looking to study childcare, aged care, or cookery, I truly recommend AMCA. It’s more than a school—it’s a place where people...
