The State Theatre Centre is a beautiful icon situated in the heart of Perth next to the city’s train station. I’ve watched multiple performances in the Heath Ledger auditorium, which were both memorable not only for the incredible work by the theatre company, but also because of the experience I had walking through this building. At night the main entrance is illuminated by lights in the floor, followed by the decadent architecture and interior design inside of the The State Theatre Centre. Read moreIf you want to perform in the arts, this Performing Arts Theatre may just be for you. I honestly think it would be the perfect place to put on that show you have been working on. Or at least the one you have been thinking about working on. You just need to believe in yourself, knuckle down and blam out your final plan. Don't listen to aunty Martha's notes - she says she was in the theatre and technically she was, but she was a tree in her school play. She was a good tree, but hardly transcendent. So unless you are writing a play about trees, or resigned to being a tree yourself, just focus on you. No notes! Also, the place is haunted. Obviously. Read moreWe went to watch the "Tree House "series. The theatre room they allocated was no bigger than a college theatre. Sound and light effect are pretty average. Our college theatre is bigger and better than this one.
With a premium family price of $160 for 1.5hr entertaining,I think the value was not there. You have to pay extra for food and drinks. Closest parking is around $4/hr.
Even our kids were still at primary school age, they said the show was not impressive. Next time I would opt for other art festival.
The spare part Puppets shows at Freo are more interactive than these one. Well, there are always other options there and we will find...
