Review: Miyavi Japanese Food, East Perth
If you’re after a no-frills Japanese dining experience, Miyavi Japanese Food might catch your eye, but don’t expect much beyond the basics. The venue has a very casual, lunch bar vibe, but unfortunately, that relaxed atmosphere extends to the staff and cleanliness standards.
The staff weren’t particularly friendly or attentive, and the noise coming from the open kitchen made it hard to enjoy the meal. The restaurant itself felt a bit neglected, with sticky tables and even a few flying insects making an unwelcome appearance.
The menu sticks to standard Japanese staples like chicken katsu and common nigiri selections. The food itself was a mixed bag: the beef was passable, the rice was mediocre, and the miso soup was a complete letdown—served cold and unappetising. For a Japanese eatery, failing to get basics like rice and miso soup right is disappointing.

Busy...BUSY at lunch time. This place is popular with all the office staff in the surrounding area.
They do offer dine in, but there aren't a lot of tables available. This is more of a place designed for serving quick take away meals.
Pre-packaged sushi rolls are always fresh because they always sell out. (*Don't let being sold out discourage you, they will gladly make one for you if you ask). Hot meals are cooked as you order and are always fresh.

Used to buy lunch almost every week there, every single time it was great. didn't go for a couple of months, went today, only one of old staff was there, new chefs, not sure if management completely changed, but the food was below average.
