Awful exhibitions. Wouldn't recommend this gallery to anyone. I can understand the Emperor's new clothes syndrome (Seeing things that are not there) with expensive art because it has all the glamour of money for nothing - ,But honestly the pretentious, nihilistic, and ersatz-neurosis amateurism of this gallery's exhibitions are nauseating. PICA doesn't get anywhere near the funding of AGWA, and the standard of the art? : To me, it suggests that there is little money for signficant insurance - Very very little there, in my opinion, was ever worth seeing, let alone stealing.... Try and find any signficant artist who has ever exhibited there... But don't ask the people involved with PICA themselves because - they will give you a catalogue of mediocrist, audio/+visual-poetasters who went onto bigger and better things such as exhibiting at a commercial gallery (you have never heard of) every four of five years... (If the commercial gallery has not already folded). Quite disappointed to see lots of so-called arts nowadays, that have degraded so much - As long as you can fabricate a story around popular ideology such as religion, identity or climate change, you can call whatever you are displaying as "art". One example was a video that captured trees being blown by the wind from a window, which apparently was supposed to portray a sense of loneliness and helplessness??? In the same video, there was a damaged glassware being dropped to the ground, which related to the plight of domestic violence ... Given the amount of time spent in the university, I would expect something of higher quality instead of a video that can be quickly put...

The Building, I also heard was now going to be restored to it's former Beauty.... The Picabar is also going to stay, it's not closing down.... NOW, It looks sensational..
THE CULTURAL CENTRE where the ART GALLERY & THE NEWLY RENOVATED MUSEUM are... It's very close to the city & the PERTH TRAIN STATION...
