Crystal Palace — Local services in Sydney

Attended works Christmas party 2 years in a row but wont be back if it's there next year Firstly let's just say the venue sits in a prime location in the north of Sydney.The view to the bridge and opera house is simply amazing.Postcard views spectacular scenery in an iconic amusement park Luna Park. Food for function was just ok very simple and seems like it could be much better from a venue like this....It was finger food with dishes coming around from waiting staff ...The food was very average not much to talk about really and I kept seeing the same food coming around ...not much variety...Also no dessert or coffee ...very boring menu ...maybe work company decided not sure.... Some of the staff were bordering rude but mostly had a nice smile and were very accommodating. Music finished early and alcohol stopped early again not sure if My companies rule or venues rule but to be honest spoilt the night in a big way for me. When party was over we were told to leave promptly nearly forced out in some way. So to sum it up great location but lacks in bad management and untrained or disinterested staff...My review is my personal opinion and might be not the opinion of others so make your own...

I attended a function here. The ambience and location of the venue was beautiful. However I found a couple of things really weird. I felt that staff needs a bit more training on how to handle guests. Staff served tea and coffee after the main course was over instead of serving it with appetizers. When they were serving dinner plates on everyone's table, they kept non veg plate in front of guests without even asking the person if he/she eats veg or non veg which I felt quite irritating. On the other hand, they were placing napkins on all the guest's lap which is not even required most of the time until the person asks for it. When the party was over, staff was literally pushing the guests to get out of the hall. I have attended a number of parties at various locations in Sydney and no one does that. Party is over that doesn't mean that you will start pushing each and every person out of the door as if it is a...
