This is a 12acre island in the middle of Sydney harbour owned by The National Parks of Australia . Its got a lot of history , some very old historic convict built buildings from the 1830s .The island can only be accesed by boat and by invitation only or on a tour . There are no goats on the island .

Have never set foot there (yet) but would surely like to. Looks like a nice kittle island from a way off.

A great spot to see the New Years Eve fireworks. I'd suggest you get the first boat for best seating. I'd also suggest that you aim for the top bit near the house / building as it has more elevated views. Follow the path around the seating areas and take a left up the hill. The entire distance from drop off point to seating is about 500m. It's general paved but uneven at points. Clear views of the bridge and city skyline. Peak-a-boo views of the opera...

The tour guid was very good and told us about the islands history. You get to know a lot of fun facts about the island and Sydney, which makes the tour very...
