Scout Studios - Redfern — Local services in Sydney

Sauna Only Review: Scout Redfern's Finnish sauna is an oasis in the city. This is my 20th Finnish sauna review - you could say I take it seriously. The space is great and it felt like I had the place to myself. I can see small groups using this for personal events - amazing setup for it. The fit out of the space is of a high quality with good materials used throughout. The area of the sauna and cold plunges are secluded and you feel like you're in a private space - this is quite unique. Felt far closer to a private sauna experience than a normal public sauna - a real treat.

To the sauna itself it was sitting around 85c with 25-30% humidity. The heater is the Harvia Legend Pro model, which of course allows a huge amount of löyly to be generated and packs a wonderful punch. I'd love to see the temperature slightly higher at 90-95c and ideally a bit lower humidity. As was managed to get a good sweat on. Some feedback for the team; the 1 hour pass is a bit short for a good sauna session. Usually takes 1.5-2hrs to go through 3 full rounds of sauna and cold. Suggest extending the length of the pass. Cold plunge was hovering around 6c, I'd of loved if this was a bit colder, but was a decent temperature. Towels are included in the access cost which is not common at other places.

All in all this is a great sizeable sauna and private-feeling space in Redfern. It's certainly one of the better saunas in Sydney with a great fit out. A city oasis. Well done...

A beautiful fit-out in a great location. Studios are bright and airy (studio 4 especially with its ginormous windows overlooking Redfern Park), instructors are amazing and classes are very inclusive . Facilities are clean, sleek and modern and make you feel more like you're in a hotel. I love Tom's 12.3 reformer essentials class. He really pushes me to do more than I think I can. Scout is a wonderful studio. All the teachers are great. I would highly recommend, if you are looking to for friendly environment...
