I visited watersedge with the a hope to book my wedding. I was offered the Hudson room and was told that guests can enter through the front and have opera house views. I went ahead to book the room and was congratulated and told that deposit would be taken in the morning. The next morning I was emailed and told that I had been double booked but not to worry there were other dates available. I instantly asked for another room same date and received a response 4 hours later stating it was not available and for me to take some time to think about what I want to do. I then asked for the week after and again 4 hours later told it’s not available. I tried calling and the consultant didn’t answer or call back. The next day I finally received an email from her at 1pm being told she has had meetings the past day and hasn’t had time to call (no apology) I asked for a solution and was given the option of the week after (even though on email it was unavailable) for $40 more per head. I tried to remind her that this wasn’t my stuff up and a few hours later she called offering me the week before at the same rate. I decided to accept it as I liked the look of this venue however when the contract came through, it was different to what I was told in person. Entry was now via back door with no ability to view the opera house prior to entering. On top of this the BYO price is ridiculous - $350 for a bottle per 30 guests! It was poor of this venue to ignore me for 2 days after double booking me , to offer me no reasonable solution and to provide incorrect information.
I decided to book another venue that valued me as a customer and attempted to provide this venue the feedback after the experience. The response I got was “thanks for the feedback we wish you all the best” - not...
Read moreMy partner and I visited Watersedge at Campbell's Store as a possible venue for our wedding. Not only is the location within the city stunning, but the various event spaces are impeccable! The exposed brick walls and wooden floors give a tastefully lux-industrial feel. The amenities are well designed, with both aesthetics and accessibility in mind. What truly made our experience wonderful, however, was the hospitality of Wedding Sales Manager, Mitee. Mitee's friendly and professional manner won us over instantly. She helped us envision the style of wedding we could have at Watersedge and talked us through the many, many options re: food, drinks, entertainment, decor and styling; if we could dream it, it would be possible! Not only did Mitee make us and our families welcome during our visit, but celebrated our engagement by serving champagne to enjoy while looking out over the sun-lit water of Sydney Harbour. Anyone who chooses this venue for their wedding is in very,...
Read moreWe hosted our wedding reception at Watersedge in September 2023. Luana Joukhadar, our Event Executive, was fantastic - she was quick to respond, no question was a silly question and made us feel so relaxed and confident in Watersedge hosting our wedding reception. We had a fantastic time working with her.
The service staff on the night went above and beyond - when we noticed that the paper and ribbon hadn't been left by the florist for guests to wrap up flowers with they immediately called the florist and arranged for them to return within an hour, and then kindly offered to wrap flowers for guests towards the end of the night. We appreciated them adapting when guests arrived early to ensure they were served beverages, and working with us to track down our MC when he was running late.
Thank you to Luana and the team for everything you did to bring our special day to life and making sure our reception ran smoothly. We highly recommend Watersedge for...
