Came to visit this outlet because they have shown interest to adopt delivery robot due to lack of staff. But I’m always a fan of their food, first time at The Rock outlet. Environment 5/5 Venue is large, spacing is comfortable, we can during the brunch hour and yeah, please expect long queue, although the venue is large, they closed at least 1 quarter of the sections, should be due to lack of staff. Service 3/5 Was seated and waited for quite some time to place order, in the end finally a staff saw me but he said he shouldn’t be taking orders but he will do it for me. Then 2 staffs came to me again asking if I wanna place an order. Coffee 5/5 Ordered cappuccino, din expect to be such a size, we din manage to finish it although we both agreed that coffee made our brunch complete Crepe 4/5 Ordered the savoury crepe, can’t remember the name but it’s mushroom with some red sauce. It’s nice but not something I will order again. Pancake 5/5 Regretted not asking them to serve after food. Was rushing to eat the pancake because the ice cream is melting while we are eating the main at the same time. Still love the Nutella the most and should have added one more ice cream next time. A bit sick of it when all the ice cream melted, it tasted a bit too sweet without the ice cream. Caesar salad 4/5 One of the highlight dishes that I always order. However, I forgot to add the chicken which is why I like the salad, disappointed with myself but I still take the green. One of the best Caesar salad in town. Will I come back again? 2.5/5 Is a yes and no due to the service, not that the staff is misbehaved but the long queue and long wait for the order, maybe will go to other outlet since their food is quite consistent across all outlet

Pancakes on the Rocks offers a delightful culinary experience that easily earns a solid 5/5 rating. Classic family friendly location for an unhealthy but somewhat satisfying meal. This restaurant was pretty busy when we went here. Despite a lot of staff walking around, it did take a while for anyone to acknowledge us and there didn’t seem to be much care with the service we received. We needed to call the waiter over to get some water, as no one noticed that we hadn’t received any :( The food came within a reasonable time but the waitress kinda just slammed it down (with less aggression than it sounds, but still in a very rushed and careless manner). She also placed the dishes in a position where we had to reach for them and pull them towards us, despite nothing else really being on the table. The food was so-so. We got the chicken crepe, which I found decent. The crepe was filled with the chicken and there was a salad, cream and sugo to accompany it. The texture of the crepe wasn’t particularly special, but it was a simple and decently enjoyable dish. The pizza, however, was somewhat disappointing. We got the chicken and bacon. It looked quite nice, however, it tasted a bit like mashed vegetables on a pizza. There was limited meat on the pizza, but a large dollop of cream and avocado in the middle. There was also no crispness to the base and crust. It was soft, so there wasn’t must variation in textures… I wouldn’t recommend.

if you go here do not get anything but pancakes, i went here with my family for breakfast and we decided to get bacon eggs and hash browns as well as regular pancakes. the hash brown is basically just shredded potato made into a paddy, no flavour just tastes like raw potato. use a lot of salt. the scrambled eggs taste like air, obviously cooked with milk in them which gets rid of the proteins and the flavour, also used a lot of salt to make these taste better. the bacon however is the best part of the meal, crunchy, tasty and not too oily, if i was you get a whole plate of bacon and there’ll be no complaints. the pancakes that my dad had on his plate were just regular buttermilk pancakes and they were lovely. fluffy, tasty, just all round good pancakes. the service isn’t very good either, however they don’t really serve you as you now just scan a QR code to order your food, where is the humanity? my mother had had the eggs benedict, the poached eggs were rather good as was the hollindaise sauce, she didn’t complain much but she also didn’t eat the hash brown, something you’d get in prison. although the food wasn’t the best neither was the service, the building was quite lovely and the atmosphere is really nice. i would come here jsut to study and sit and enjoy the place, not the food

During our trip from Brisbane to Sydney, Pancakes on The Rocks was at the top of our “must-visit” list, and it did not disappoint! This iconic spot lived up to its stellar reputation and made our visit to Sydney truly memorable. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere. The menu offered a fantastic variety of pancakes, both sweet and savory, making it nearly impossible to choose just one dish! We eventually settled on their signature Devil’s Delight and a savory crepe dish. Each bite was pure perfection – the pancakes were fluffy, rich, and bursting with flavor. What made this experience even more special was knowing it was one of the highlights we planned specifically for our Sydney itinerary. Traveling all the way from Brisbane, we were thrilled to find that this iconic restaurant exceeded all expectations. It’s clear why Pancakes on The Rocks has become such a beloved destination for locals and visitors alike. If you’re visiting Sydney, this spot is an absolute must. Whether you’re here for breakfast, dessert, or a hearty meal, Pancakes on The Rocks will not disappoint. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

We visited Pancakes On The Rocks January 2024. It’s located in the beautiful and oldest part of Sydney called The Rocks. The restaurant is located upstairs, not too hard for those with bad knees, and when you arrive at the top, the place is wide open and inviting. It smells so good and fresh. It was bright against the brown wooden booths and tables/chairs. The floor as well as the booth were clean. Even the bathroom was clean and inviting! Upon entering, we were promptly greeted and seated. The waitstaff doesn’t take your order, you have to scan the QR code. It was very easy to place our order. Our ordered was quickly delivered by the waitstaff. I ordered the pancakes, bacon, and eggs. Everything was cooked to perfection! The pancakes were dense but not dry. They were flavorful and delicious. The bacon was chard but the parts that weren’t were good and tasty. My eggs were scrambled exactly as I like them. I highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a hearty, delicious, and memorable breakfast!! In fact, the food smelled so good, I started eating and then realized I didn’t take a picture… It was that delicious!!
