Location is good (next to the train station). The rooms were clean but very basic. What I didn't like about this hotel are their policies - first of all - 50 EUR deposit for the key? I think that's waaaay too much. It was more than my whole stay. I understand the need to take deposit for the key but let's be reasonable - 10 EUR should be enough or even too much. Of course you get it back, but in case anything happens you loose a lot of money for one stupid key. I didn't like that at all. ||||Second thing I didn't like was their policy about charging the credit card - the reservation was made with my company's credit card which doesn't have my name on it, it has my boss's name on it. I asked them to charge the credit card and they say they wouldn't because the card is not in my name. It made it very difficult for me and I don't think this place is business friendly. ||||The lady who runs this place speaks very little English and I wouldn't say she's the nicest person I've ever met. ||||There is also no breakfast (but there is a kitchen which I didn't use). ||||I honestly think for that many you can find something with even better location and...
Read moreGreat location about 3 to 4 minutes walking from the train station, but still a very quiet neighborhood. Check-in was a breeze and it was easy to get my key from the keybox. The owner was very friendly and cleaned the common areas daily.
My single room was pretty large and very clean. The bed and pillow were comfortable. There was a large desk and chair, a wardrobe, an oscillating fan, and a sink and mirror in the room. I didn't hear much noise from any other guests nor from outside.
The common areas were always very clean. There was coffee and tea in the kitchen (along with sugar), a large refrigerator with your own shelf basket to store your items, a microwave, and plenty of plates/bowls/utensils. Everything was always stocked.
There was one shared toilet and one shared shower that were both very clean. The shower was never an issue sharing--it was always free when I needed it. It also had shampoo/body wash. But there were a few times when I had to wait to use the toilet. However, I did stay nearly a week, so it was bound to happen at some point. Not a big issue, just to be aware of.
Overall a great...
Read moreThis is by far the cleanest room throughout my Europe trip this time round. ||||Very near to the Salzburg main train station which makes it very easy for us to use it as a base to do day trips to Munich and Hallstatt. Walkable to the city center. ||||Huge, clean room with clean towels, bathrooms and sheets. They will clean your room and change your towels everyday. Friendly and helpful owner. Quiet area.||||You might want to prepare 50 Euros as deposit as there are a lot of people who forgot to the keys before they leave. They will return you the 50 euros when you return the keys. ||||There's only one roll of toilet paper for about 6 - 8 rooms to use which is usually emptied by 10 or 11pm. It'd be good if they can leave 1 or 2 more rolls...
