City Bräu — Restaurant in Salzburg

Worst restaurant ive ever been to. Because the staff working there is a total RACIST.

I live in western europe so it wasnt me who was disrespectful because i know restaurant manners of europe.

I was standing until the staff comes, because he was helping other guests paying. He came very slowly even after seeing me maybe because he was so busy hanging out with other white customers.

I asked him if there is a seat for a person and he said no. So i asked him if i can wait. He said no and told me to come back after 30min. Well i just saw three ppl paying after finishing their meal? Also he made me go out not even letting me wait. What can i call him other than a RACIST?

Ive never wrote reviews about restaurants. I am not sensitive at all and i just stand on things well but i cant stand on his attitude.

I walked 25min to go to this restaurant and this is the result! Thank you VERY MUCH.

The service person was not friendly at all, even rude. If you look through all the comments with one star, you’ll soon realize the service is terrible here.

We ask to change side dish from French fries to a salad and he refused directly without providing any reason. His attitude was very impolite. And we can only order an extra salad and left French fries to create food waste. I have travelled in Austria several times and always appreciated nice service and people. It’s the first time I had such a bad experience and the restaurant refused to change side dish. We were approach to several restaurants but they were all fully booked, so we ended up here.

The food is very normal and too salty. Here is more like a fast food store than a restaurant but ask for restaurant prices.

Now I can understand why in Easter Sunday night this restaurant is half-empty. I would recommend people to visit this restaurant only if you don’t have other options. Bad service ruined your mood...

The ambiance here was elegant. Pleasant instrumental jazz music playing that gave it a sense of being fancy. They had menus in English, for which we were grateful. Unfortunately, the translations were not always accurate. What was "turkey" on the menu turned out to be chicken. (Which wasn't a big deal to me. Just fyi.)

The "Turkey" Caesar salad I got was made with iceberg lettuce; there was no romaine in it. It did not have Caesar dressing on it, but their house dressing. I'm not sure why they call it Caesar salad! It was average. And overpriced.

Beers on tap were average, just like everywhere else we've been in Salzburg (an unexpected disappointment! ).
