This four-day hiking trip through the Northern Trails of the Greater Caucasus is an absolute must for any avid trekker - But more importantly, Mountain Host guides Mursal and Aboo should be the guys to take you there!

From their organisation to choices of family-run accommodation, my guides always ensured that my needs were met. In addition, Mursal and Aboo's positive spirit and good nature made the hike so enjoyable.

The landscape is beautiful and dramatic. Photographers will be spoilt for choice, with plenty of incredible mountain views on offer - And for those who like hiking without the crowds, the Northern Trails will give you a sense of isolation and authenticity.

Unfortunately, I did not manage to complete the trail due to an ankle injury. However, Mursal and Aboo quickly organised transportation to a local hospital and within 24 hours, I was back in the mountains to continue this wonderful tour.

We booked a 4 day guided trek in the Caucasus with Mercel. We were with our two kids aged 11 and 12 and Mercel judged the trek perfectly. We were on holiday from the UK and Mercel was super responsive and organised with planning on-line, providing us with a number of good options from which to choose.
