Absolutely love that almost everything is $4/item, not a huge selection but I found what I was looking for. Quality check is not ideal, but again your paying $4 so expect pill-ey leggings, and faded tops, but not all is like that!! There is a looot of frangrance or smells in the store (not bad just strong) so would not recommend for sensitive ones. Overall was not bad, but DEFINITELY needs kinder employees. The girls working ruined it for me completely. It was near the end of the day and I was in the change room trying things on, as they whispered things from the front desk. I have a shaved head atm (health reasons I har to shave my head completely and it is growing back) so they had lots to judge I suppose. They had also been gossiping negatively about a friend of theres, and were all slyly talking about and insinuating how badly they wanted to leave, and were passive aggressive and rude to me as I was leaving as it was closing time, i was the last person to check out. The girls had said in a I-just-wanna-go-home-way, "she better not pay in cash" also when I was in the change room, so yes, I paid in cash, like I always do as my self employed work pays me in cash. cash out comes after close, aka the last customer leaving has actually paid. The girls (2 of them) had purposely overcharged me without me realizing until I got home, there is absolutely no excuse for this mistake, considering everything I had was priced at $4, and i had 8 items, plus one $2 item. they charged me $42. When she had to do cash out again quickly on a note pad, I am almost certain the extra money was pocketed, but not certain, so I do not want to accuse. As I was leaving the checkout counter, I told them to have a nice night and I was ignored by one girl, and the other girl said in the most rude, passive aggressive, mocking, way "ya have a good one." as I was exiting the front/exit door, the girls were giggling, and stared at me as I left, but again not sure what they were giggling at, so in this moment I did not want to assume they were making fun of me, as they did earlier, so I left and tried to just brush it all off. I will never shop here again, and the ladies that were working today should be ashamed of themselves for their behaviour . I hope for whoevers friend they were talking about, you realize the toxicity and find friends that care more about you. 💕My generation (im 22) has a severe problem with customer service (not everyone, but as a whole), and I am embarrassed of my generation in the customer service workforce lately, especially women. Highschool is over...
Read moreI really want to leave a 5 star review for the quality clothing, friendly staff, and relaxed atmosphere, but unfortunately while I was there I didn’t notice that they wash all the clothing in what I assume is Gain detergent or those smelly bead things. I made an assumption that the shop smell was from a scented candle or a scented wall plug.
After I got home I noticed the clothes all had a strong scent of Gain which I hate and am also sensitive to perfumes so I use unscented detergents and wool dryer balls instead of dryer sheets or I hang my clothes to dry.
Over the last 7 days I washed my purchases 10 times!!! Even using vinegar to try to remove the smell. Soaked in vinegar and water overnight, soaked in Dawn and hot water for 2 days, left out in the sun, used vinegar and borax in the wash and more soaking in vinegar. I am exhausted and mad. Nothing worked. Some blogs have stated it is very difficult to remove the stench of Gain once it has permeated fibres since it is oil based hence the use of Dawn to break the oil bonds…all that happened is now the clothes reek like Dawn and I have to soak in vinegar to remove that now…. Also scent removing products might only reduce it and not fully remove it with the whole time frame of de-scenting taking nearly a year for some cases!! didn’t expect my week after work every night and another weekend to be used up washing clothes over and over to get rid of a stinky detergent. I also was hoping to begin wearing these clothes right away and not wasting time trying to remove perfumed residue.
I appreciate the fact they wash the clothes prior to sale, (unless they are spraying them down with something instead), but using unscented products would be far better for customers who can’t stand perfumes or are allergic.
Regardless, after this weekend I am NOT wasting anymore time on this. If I can’t get rid of the stench (oh and I first washed them with some of my clothes I’ve owned for years which are now ruined by the smell and I can’t get rid of it), I’ll be dropping these back off to you guys and I’ll have to eat the money I spent on them.
Definitely never shopping...
Read more(Reference to 62 Ave location) I don’t leave negative reviews. Ever. But this was the most upsetting experience shopping we’ve ever had. The manager here is the most unpleasant human I’ve ever encountered. And should NOT be working in customer service.
On top of that they are completely dishonest here. Would not be surprised if employees are 100% pocketing money for free and donated items. Signs are clearly posted all over the store what prices are for items however when you go to the counter to purchase you are told different prices by the staff from what is posted. We were buying a short sleeve women’s top and were told it was $20 (according to posted signs should have been $4) Absolutely 100% unacceptable and dishonest!!!! This was the first time we ever tried this place and we had a group of 6 women with us and we all were planning on buying items and we all walked out. AVOID this place if you want to be treated with any respect or have clear understanding of what you are paying.
One employee showed us a taped sign behind the till for what they actually charge for things at checkout (ILLEGAL) as this is not clearly posted for the customers to see and contradicts posted signs.
Manager (she is the woman in photo who refused to give us her name) was completely unprofessional and rude and lacks any human decency. She walked away from my friend who was kindly and quietly trying to reason with her that this was not proper or correct business practise. The manager was right away confrontational and had major attitude. The manager made a huge scene and walked away from her customers muttering rude comment under her breath.
Will never support dishonest businesses when there are so many honest hard working people in this city who actually deserve...
