Spent a week in Montreal, because of found Ashtanga yoga Montreal my trip ended up turning into a private yoga retreat. Loved it.
Ashtanga Yoga Montreal is a fantastic place to deepen your practice, whether you’re a seasoned yogi or just starting your journey. The studio offers a welcoming and supportive environment, where you can fully immerse yourself in the traditional Ashtanga method.
The teachers are knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely invested in each student’s progress. Including restorative yoga the teachers provide excellent guidance, making sure you understand the importance of alignment and breath while offering adjustments to suit your individual needs.
What I really appreciate about this studio is its commitment to the authentic Ashtanga practice, offering both Mysore-style classes and led sessions. The atmosphere is calm and focused, which allows you to connect with your practice in a deeper way.

Read moreI have been coming to Ashtanga Yoga on and off since around 2017. While I have tried other yoga studios in Montreal, I always keep coming back. The class offerings have changed a bit over time, but the instruction has always remained exceptional. Jeanne is not only an experienced and intuitive yoga instructor, but also an absolute sweetheart. She and the other instructors are welcoming and knowledgeable. Ashtanga Yoga remains one of the few studios where the instructors come around and help with adjustments, which I find so important!
When I first arrived at the studio, I was something of a newbie and am easily intimidated in spaces like this. However, the clientele is kind and unpretentious - everyone is there to focus on their own practice. As well, the studios are spacious and clean. I have not had the pleasure of trying the Zoom classes, as my own apartment is not really big enough for yoga, but Ashtanga Yoga clearly has their audio/visual setup in good and working order. If you are a novice looking for a place to begin your yoga practice, or an experienced practitioner looking to continue it, look no further than...
Read moreI've been attending this studio for 2 years now as a regular and it's my favorite in Montreal. Great classes, great instructors, and a variety of times and days available throughout the week. I love ashtanga and they do a great job integrating it into almost every class while keeping things varied and interesting. I usually attend the 12:15pm classes on weekdays during my lunch break, it's super convenient. My favorite classes are the 90 minute weekend ones - Sunday mornings at 9:30am with Lynn or the 11:30am on Saturday with Jeanne. Highly recommend this studio for ashtanga and...
