YGK Thrift — Local services in Ontario

Pretty disappointed in this store. My sister and I visited for the first time today and weren’t greeted by the staff even though we were the only ones in the store. The staff were complaining the ENTIRE time we shopped, making comments complaining of being open and making us feel extremely unwelcome and like we shouldn’t be shopping since we were such an inconvenience to the employees. The manager was complaining about paying employees to stand around and do nothing. We were uncomfortable and felt like these conversations shouldn’t take place while we shop. We felt like we needed to rush our shopping and leave even though we visited 2 HOURS BEFORE CLOSING. The store smelled AWFUL. Like sewage. Staff were unfriendly, prices are decent on some items, while overpriced on others. Won’t...

The staff are knowledgeable and kind, and they are handling the Ontario covid guidelines like champions. Martha especially was so helpful, she gave great style advice and answered all my questions...

This new thrift store in downtown Kingston is AMAZING....THE PRICES ARE SPECTACULAR, AND THE MONEY THEY MAKE GOES TO THE KINGSTON YOUTH SHELTER. They have clothing in the latest fashions and vintage. There is somethg for everyone's tasted. The pricing is fair. The staff is wonderful and very knowledge. A definite must stop in Downtown.
