So the stay started off well. But we go to our pet friendly room. Only to find a red Tylenol and other misc snack food under the bed that we had to clean up so our cat does not eat these things. So now I'm thinking how thoroughly do they even clean these rooms. Next we go for supper to come back to a large construction vehicle quad parked across all 4 parking spots by our patio door. We go to the service counter and ask if these are allocated spots or first come first serve. She says they are allocated and will figure it out. She inspects the quad park and paces around the hotel to and from the service desk a few times before coming back and saying the people who did this are currently not present and there is nothing she can do. Now we can't park beside our door to keep eyes on our vehicle and ensure the vehicle is safe. We are forced to park on the other side not within eye sight even though these spots are "allocated" . Next we go back to our room to fall asleep around 9pm. We hear a head board being slammed against our room wall for about an hour. Yea gross. Which gets me back to thinking how well these rooms are cleaned and is this place just a hook up shack compared to a hotel just minutes away from here. Next we wake up at about 4 am due to a neighboring room's alarm clock going off . We ignore it and try to sleep it off and now we are up at 8am. The clock is still going off. And we are now going to shower, leave, and let them know about the clock. Considering the two other hotels located nearby I would 100% not recommend the comfort inn and would stay elsewhere. This experience has been so unpleasant that I'm considering never staying at a comfort inn anywhere in Canada again. And will just spend the money on a nice experience at...
Read moreI am between a 2 and 3 star here. I am giving 3 because the staff was polite and the price was very reasonable for what you get. Cost: 5 stars and if cost is your motivator then this place is fine. Breakfast: 0 stars several days they ran out of food or just stopped making food. The food was not really good even with low expectations. They cleaned and closed the area 30 minutes before it was over leaving us hungry. The juice machine did work 2/3 days. Breakfast was the worst thing about this place. Bring you own food or go to Safeway and buy some like we did mostly. Location: 5* You are very close to shopping and restraunts if you want to drive but I would not walk. Amenities: 1* Not sure there were any? Our room didn't have an iron, so they took one out of another room which led me to believe that is why we didn't have one. Nothing special just bare bones place. Ice machine worked. Comfort: 3* I am 6 foot tall and I felt the bed was made for children. Other than that it was ok. The air conditioning was loud, but super cold which for me was nice. Shower and restroom were clean and they left extra toilet paper. Cleanliness 3*: Inside the room it was clean. Outside however beer bottles and beer boxes were not cleaned up for 2 days of our stay. That really should be done daily but I have noticed this to be a problem at many hotels/motels. Inside however was kept up well and no major breakage. They did say because of Covid they would not do anything to our rooms for our stay (July 2022 was our stay for 3 days). Safety: 5* I felt safe here. Overall: It was a good stay. Nothing major was bad or good. Honestly just a very average, mostly clean, well priced place to stay a few days. Not great but not really that bad if you have...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel as a last-minute decision due to my husband, not feeling well. We arrived at the hotel after booking online and paying what I thought was a reasonable rate. Reviews looked promising. Upon check-in, we were told that the room we had reserved would be on the second floor. We had quite a bit of luggage and there was no elevator. We are not so young anymore and this would’ve been a huge problem as he wasn’t feeling well and what we had with us was fairly heavy. When I requested a room on the main level, we were told it would be an additional $10 charge.Nowhere on the site whent I was doing my searching for a room that there was no elevator and that I would have to pay extra to be on the main floor unit. We paid the $10 went to the room and the first thing that hit me was a smell of dog. I asked the desk if we could change rooms due to the smell. l was taken to another room, door opened same smell… Dog. We decided to take the first room because by this time we had already used some of the facilities. They did spray the room with some air freshener however, the smell of the dog did persist. The ladies at the desk were friendly, however our concerns we’re never fully addressed. Because my husband was not feeling well we didn’t go and complain again. The main floor unit was actually very convenient as there was a large Door that made putting your luggage in very easy. Location was also good, near the highway. I don’t think I would ever stay at that particular hotel again. For some reason, the extra 10 bucks, for a room with a smell...
