Just finished supper here for our daughters birthday. Service was decent, took awhile for our drinks to get to us after we ordered them. When our food came out I was informed my pasta would be another 6 min due to an error in the kitchen. They offered me a ceaser salad while I waited. About 10 min later I finally got my pasta, without the blackened chicken I wanted. When I questioned the server he said it would be just a couple more minutes. As everyone was finishing their meal he came by and said it would be another 5 min. I asked him then to just box up the rest of my meal (of which I had had all of about 3-4 bites waiting for my chicken) he told me he would and that they would remove the whole pasta dish from the bill. When we received the bill it was still there. We just paid and left as it had been enough waiting on the dish already and we just wanted to go enjoy the rest of our daughters birthday. And I still haven't had anything for supper besides a salad and some straggler pizza crusts
We go to Boston pizza quite abit for our celebration meals, however I will be hard pressed to suggest this one again.
Update: the Manager was kind enough to send some gift cards to try and make up for what happened. Unfortunately it ended up making it worse. I've never downgraded a rating after having something like this done before. But. I called in yesterday (yes mothers day so I expect it to be busier) and was hung up on. Called back and the person that answered couldn't find a manager to answer my questions. Ok I'll call back in the afternoon. The manager I talked to answered my first question then cut me off as I was asking another to say thanks for calling and hung up on me, again as I was speaking. Ok so I guess I wont let you know when I'm bringing in 6 people later. Fast forward to supper and were are waiting to be seated. 25 - 30 min ok I can handle a wait. Would have been quicker had they listened to me earlier. So as we are waiting all of a sudden we should be sat next and tables of 4 and 5 that came in well after us are getting sat. Ok again its mothers day I can overlook that. Sit down, server takes our order forgets to bring all the drinks, says she will be right back. Brings the kids food and still hasnt brought out some of the kids drinks nor my wife's or fathers drinks. Next our orders are taken. I wanted to try a feature poutine as a side. I can get the upcharge the difference (20 years in the industry I know how to make the guest happy but couldn't lead them to the proper course) no I was going to be charged the full price for 2 entrees to get a poutine on my plate. Not charged the difference between. Ok they just are frazzled and busy? Wait didnt I mention I had gift letters from the last time we had poor service. Yeah I did. Ok well it appears they just dont care to win our patronage back. We will go to rochdale...
Read moreIf I could leave less than one star, I would. We came here due to our preferred restaurant being closed, but I used to love BPs, so why not? We went in and directly went out to the patio on the bar side to have a drink while waiting for our group to arrive. My boyfriend received his drink after I had asked for a drink menu, and then I ordered a ceasar. The rest of our group showed up about 10 minutes later and our waitress took their drink order. This is when I reminded her of my drink. We all then got our drinks and she took our order. When we got our food, one lady in our group asked for an extra garlic toast (which we never received). Our waitress never came back after delivering our food. We didn't even see her check on any other tables out on the patio (there were 4 or 5). Finally, after we've finished our meals and are waiting about 15 minutes or so for the bill, my boyfriend went into the bar side to ask for our bills. There were only about 3 tables inside (all just having drinks and watching the game on tv). The manager then came out and we tried to explain the situation and he rudely cut us off every single time! He stood up for the waitress not showing up and not taking care of any of her tables, saying they were just so busy inside (again only 3 tables inside) and then tried to act all high and mighty like he's doing us a huge favour removing the added garlic toast (which we never received) from the bill. We then paid our bill and left, but honestly, your manager shouldn't be standing up for a waitress that completely negates her job and forgets about every single table on the patio! As we were leaving, I noticed the manager getting everyone's bills paid up outside, finally. I mean, where did our waitress go and why was noone made aware she was gone!? Worst service and worst management I've ever seen in an establishment. For a $70 bill for 2 people, I expect proper service and kindness, not rudeness and attitude and negating our experience as though it was all fine and dandy. Disappointed in every way and will definitely not...
Read moreI recently visited the lounge at Boston Pizza with five others. Unfortunately, four of us didn’t have our ID on hand at the time. Three went to retrieve theirs from the car or home, while I waited inside for my husband to bring mine in from the vehicle. During that short wait, I was told I couldn’t be in the lounge without my ID — which I understand is policy, and I respect that staff have rules to follow.
That said, the way the situation was handled lacked any real consideration or professionalism. A little understanding or even just a more respectful way of handing the situation would have gone a long way, especially considering we are clearly not underage (honestly — what minor has a full beard and is covered in tattoos?). Instead, the interaction felt unnecessarily rigid and frankly, unwelcoming.
Because of how it was dealt with, they just lost six paying customers. We won’t...
