Ali is one of a kind. While I cannot claim to have gone around all of Toronto to find who could provide me exactly what I wanted in the engagement ring for my partner, I can tell you I was blown away from my first encounter with Ali. Curators that I have met before settling with Ali, they all focused on selling their selection of diamonds that is in stock, or lose interest after they know you are not interested in their stock, or try to push for diamonds that they feel would be an easy sell. Ali on the other hand, wants to know what you want. He does not have the diamonds in stock, because he wants to know what you want, so he can bring that diamond specifically for you. That is what I appreciated. I can tell he went through quite a bit to finally find what I want. He never pushed for any of the diamonds I did not want, understood why it was so difficult for me to say no to a great diamond (there was always something just missing), and never forced me to buy a diamond that he knows that I did not think was "the right one". When I did find the right one, he and I knew right away. That is what he is always seeking. He understands the process, understands the commitment one would take to find the perfect diamond. I would actually encourage you to seek out other jewelry curators, and see with whom fits your personality and needs - I found Ali ticked all on my checkbox. And I am sure he would for you too as well.

Another thing I appreciated was, if the ring was not ready, he would let you know. I understand with delays (especially during pandemic times), it is difficult to have things delayed, but if you give Ali the time and patience, he would 1. find you the right diamond, 2. design the perfect ring, and 3. ensure 100% to your partner saying yes (Of course, they would say yes to your, with or without the diamond, but it helps having an eye popping diamond right?!).

I bought an engagement ring from them a couple of years ago and I had an excellent experience overall. I'm a very demanding customer who wants to know every detail and I also take quite long in making up my mind, but the owner (who I dealt with) was always very patient and cooperate with me which I really appreciated. In choosing the diamond, I was provided with various options and educated on the pro's and con's of each diamond, as well as all the background information and lab reports on the diamond I was interested in. That really helped me feel satisfied in the decision I made. Also, the ring setting I got made was a bit complicated but these guys did a very good job of bringing the design to life. Oh and I also got two gold wedding bands (with diamond studs) made in addition to the main ring. Again very good price and service.

The owner's a great guy with a lot of knowledge, a good collection of stones (diamonds, rubies, sapphire etc.) and ability to source whatever you like... I recommend you pay this shop a visit and avoid doling out extra money to big...

Amazing. I got connected to Ali via a mutual friend and I will never go elsewhere Moving forward. From the very first phone call, he was incredibly helpful. Personally, I didn’t know enough to do this, but he walked me through the process and really broke down every element of the ring and diamond purchasing process. He was available at all times of the day, whether it was text or call, and was always willing to jump on a call for questions I had. As for the product: The price point and quality was unmatched; he hit it on the dot. Did I do my due diligence? Ofcourse, because that would be the right thing to do for an important purchase. But what I can say is, no one touched his price and quality!! Wasn’t even close from the competition I spoke to (that competitor did my entire families’ rings! So it’s fair to say it was a good check). Ali and the Al Joher team did phenomenal on this one. The ring is perfect and he was incredibly accommodating with my schedule and my wants.
