Dined here for the first time, we've heard many good things and surprisingly enough we never made the trip down to have a meal. Our table was ready promptly at 7:30 We had arrived early and waited in the bar area, checked out the menu. My wife and I typically order an app, two mains to share, and (sometimes) dessert. Our server was quick, we asked her for recommendations/choices and she did not disappoint. We were torn between the selection of pastas/pizzas and we had shortlisted them for her. The Food: Burrata (Delicious, comes with crostini, prosciutto) enough to share for 2. The cheese was very creamy, however I would have included some black pepper on my own version - but i'm not a chef Tonnarelli alla Norcina (homemade spicy sausage, pecorino, italian black truffle shavings) Good portion size, pasta was al dente, good chew to the noodle, flavor wise the pasta was good, however wish it was seasoned a little more? No complaints otherwise. Affitisciuta (tomato, mozzarella, smoked scamorza, homemade spicy Italian sausage) The pizza arrived hot and fresh - you gotta eat this one quick though otherwise it cools down fast, good crispy bite ton the crust, very thin, good flavor on the pie. I took my time eating this cause I wanted to be a gentleman and not absorb a pizza like a garbage compactor - plus my wife would be embarrassed. To Finish: I heard really good things about the tiramisu, my wife also has a sweet tooth. We ordered one to share, it was just enough. TIramisu was light enough and wasn't overkill in ordering. The hype met the expectations. The Drink: The restaurant also has a make your own gin and tonic special - My wife ordered an elderflower tonic with gin - she found the aromas very pleasant and was not too sweet to drink. The Service: While we arrived early, our table was ready right on time, after we were seated our server came almost right away. She stepped away for a sec to grab us water. We were ready to order by the time she came back. After ordering she immediately came back with some much needed bread, olive oil and some chili oil. (My wife gets hangry so this was perfect) Our burrata came out quickly (we also did not know there would be bread with it) After maybe 10-15 minutes, we got our mains. We were out the door in an hour or so and was very pleased with the experience. Our server was friendly, staff was friendly overall, can't say much other than pretty satisfied. Would come back for sure.

We came here on a Wednesday night to celebrate my sister's birthday. We made a reservation and our table was ready and right in front of the entrance. The restaurant used to be a courthouse and the basement has jail cells! Cool! Most of the architecture has been preserved inside. Once you enter there's a bar on the left and takeout and food delivery pickup by the hostess area. We ordered various a charcuterie board, grilled calamari and various pasta dishes. There is complimentary bread served with olive oil and red peppers. The bread was fluffy in the middle and crispy on the crust. The board had a small selection of cheeses, prosciutto, mortadella, and salami. There's honey, olives and small breadsticksbon the side. We were hungry so this board was done fast! Thinly slice meats were tasty and goes well with the cheese and honey. Don't forget to get a bottle of wine! They have huge selection of wine ranging from 5oz / 1/2 btl / full btl. Some vintage selections are by the bottle. We selected the 2018 Montefalco Rosso DOC. The wine was very smooth and went well with our charcuterie board and pasta. I ordered the Spaghetti in Canna a Mare which consists of spaghetti with scallops, shrimps, mussels, clams and calamari. This is a seafood paradise with spaghetti and pomodoro tomato sauce. There's a hint of spiciness in the sauce. Hit the spot! My wife ordered the Ravioli di Zio Paperone - filled with duck confit, roasted butternut squash, oyster button mushrooms and Parmigiano. The duck was highlighted in the ravioli. There was a generous portion amd really filling. I didn't try the other pastas but everyone enjoyed their food. The desserts we ordered were tiramisu and Torta Calda al Cioccolato and gelato. Torta was amazing it was a flourless dark chocolate cake with white chocolate ganache. The cake was warm and had a liquid chocolate centre. Very rich but irresistible. The experience was great only downside was the grilled calamari was never served. The order either got lost in the kitchen or served to another table. The manager did come by to apologize and offered us an Italian liqueur to make up for the mix-up. Secondly our orders did not come out at the same time. If you are looking for an authentic taste of Italy come to Terroni on Adelaide. Nice ambience to go with great food and vino. Nice place to celebrate a milestone or have a romantic date.

I went to this restaurant for the first time on April 30th, 2022, and I would never go back there again. The place was packed, which I didn't have a huge issue with, because I assumed that meant the food was good, but the service was horrible. The menu titles weren't in English, so you have to look at the description of the food to get an idea of what section of the menu you're on. I didn't have an issue with that, because we were at an Italian restaurant, so it's kind of expected. The issue was with the waiter. He was getting very frustrated with us when we were asking for clarification about items on the menu. He was huffing, and puffing and clearly frustrated with all of our questions. I get that it can be annoying to have to explain everything, but...its your job. Are we the first group of people he's ever served who don't speak Italian? We waited for our food for over 30 minutes. We didn't complain because we were in deep conversation anyway, so it didn't really bother us. The waiter explained that the food was taking long because there was a wedding that day, so there were a lot of other people to service- fine, I get it. After eating our food, we were lingering, still in conversation, and he was walking around, huffing and puffing again and rolling his eyes. I asked him if there was a problem, and he said he wanted us to pay as soon as possible so that he could complete his other duties and not have to come back to us. While we were paying, I was trying to input the tip, but I accidentally clicked a wrong button, and I needed to make a correction. He sighed heavily, while standing over my head, took the machine back, and stood right over me as I paid...and watched what I was giving as a tip- which I've never experienced before. He did the same thing to my friend. And the end of it all, he asked if we enjoyed his service, which is wild to me seeing how ridiculous he was behaving. It was like a parody of a "bad waiter" skit. Anyway, the food tasted good, very authentic. But the service alone would make me never go back. Not sure if he was just having a bad day, but its unacceptable regardless.

I've been to this location twice in the last year and both visits have been very... meh. THE FOOD Not bad but should be better considering the price and reputation. I've only ever ordered pasta but find it underseasoned and undercooked. Portions could be much bigger given the price. And there isn't a ton of variation - lots of vegetarian options which I appreciate, but almost every meat option had spicy sausage - what if you don't like spicy?! The complimentary bread is good but you're given so little oil - all I wanted was some butter or balsamic! THE DRINKS No complaints here, well made and pricing is on par with the rest of the city. THE SERVICE Also no complaints; based on reviews there might be some variation depending on your server but both individuals I've had were kind and attentive. Be prepared to wait to be seated (reservations recommended!). Service is smooth but not fast. THE ATMOSPHERE Inside is nice; dark and loud but also cozy and inviting. The patio is sparse but it's nice to be outside and not next to traffic downtown. OVERALL Location is convenient if you have an event in the area. Food is good but not great. Make a reservation otherwise you might have a long wait. I'm not against going back, but - there is so much better Italian in the city. If I return it's for the vibes and convenience, not food.

The atmosphere is great if you like busy and lively restaurants. The servers are very attentive and professional. The building itself is a beautiful one with a lot of character since it was an old courthouse. The place is huge with very high ceilings and three stories. I appreciate the decoration a lot as it is beautiful, non repetitive (each corner has it’s own character) and at the same time cosy and inviting which is not easy to achieve in such a huge space. We had the Carpaccio Di Manzo as our appetizer which was super delicious. We also had Fettuccine Al Tartufo and Li Pecuri. The pizza was great but the pasta could’ve been a lot better. It tasted good but the presentation can improve. The portion was also smaller than previous times and looked a bit carelessly put together. We had Budino Di Caramello for desert which was too sweet to taste like nothing but oversaturated sweetness. Not the greatest dolce. I also had espresso which came cold and then changed to another one which tasted like it was heated rather than made again. Overall, I would go there again and do recommend it as your dining experience as a whole is not affected by these little things but it would be great to see an improvement to have a greater appreciation.

Disappointing, honestly! Our server was wonderful and the food is high quality, but the service at the FOH and over the phone was almost degrading. Didn’t make eye contact once. Talked to me like I was a dog. I was pretty upset over that. I understand with all the measures, restaurant work has not been easy, but I still don’t feel like it warranted the greeting I received. Very cold. I’d understand it if it was busy, but it was very much not. I’d say “Hi, how are you?” and was met with “You have until 5:30. We need the table back by then.” I have no issues with the time limit. Absolutely none. I do have an issue with being treated like I did them a disservice by being there and existing. I used to love it here. I’m sorry. This experience was embarrassing. Loved the server though. Don’t know her name but she had short-ish red hair and was very sweet. I owe it all to her for not making the night completely terrible. My advice? Come here if you love great food (expensive- to be expected though. Not really an issue. Small portions, but delicious nonetheless) and beautiful decor + environment BUT don’t care how you’ll be treated. I wish I could say I had a great experience :/ (I can’t lie, I do love how beautiful the restaurant is.)
