I absolutely love Alo clothing and had a bad experience at Yorkdale, but nothing can compare of the experience I had yesterday at the Eaton centre. This was my first time visiting to take advantage of the sale. As soon as I waked in one sales associate approached me aggressively about what are you looking for and today is the last day of the sale. I told her I wanted one of the crew neck and I never tired one on and I wanted to see the style. She said what size because they were in the back and she would have to get it. I told her I have to see to compare because I never worn one. I told her I would look around and first and I would get back to her if I needed assistance. Then this is where the madness begins. Another sales associate who was overly aggressive did the same thing however with a bullying tactic. I was still unsure about the sizing of the pullover and she rudely said that I should go for a medium because I have big breast. Keep in mind Iām on medication that is causing swelling side effects and to comment on a customer body like that is disrespectful. I decided on something and she told me what else what else do you need. I told her let me look around some more in peace š©. I also forgot to mention I had a grocery bag and she was looking inside and giving me bad looks. She asked for my name to put the item I selected at the cash register. Now time to cash out and I went with a zip up sweater instead. I had another sale associate take care of me and the rude one was also cashing out eyeing me down. I was given one of the mall gift card not knowing the balance to use for some of my purchase. She tells the cashier you have to check the balance first or it will decline every time you add it. Keep in mind Iāve used these cards in the past and never had anyone behave so unhinged. The girl proceeded to do so and finally the torture was over I could leave the store finally and leave that negative environment. I couldnāt believe this sales associate behaviour so disgusting and such a bully. As a sales associate, youāre not supposed to focus on customers body and make rude comments, especially when your body is in great I do feel to reach out to head office and file a further complaint because like I said doing this to other customers is terrible. Iāve had many experiences at Alo, but this was the worst having sales associates ignoring me is way better than having them Insult me, especially when itās a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLove the brand did not like the experience.
This was my 1st time at ALO.
The sales representatives were quite helpful and cooperative the disappointment was the while check out. The representative billing us out was unpleasant, unprofessional and inconsiderate. Zero conversation and was on phone or radio the entire time. She did not utter a word, no eye contact and neither a smile. ( I was just standing along my while my wife was dealing with her) She threw the item in the bag and even threw the bag as well rather than handing it to her. I was appalled and wanted to confront her for the behaviour but before I or my wife could say something she walked away. While exiting the store I confronted an employee and asked if I could know the name and designation of the person helping us. She said her name is āSTEPHANIEā and she was āTHE MANAGERā. They were nice enough to apologise for the inconvenience. (In my mind I had doubts that she might be a manager and did tell the employee as well)
My question is how can such a person be a manager or is a manager entitled and expected to behave like this? If she is the person responsible for hiring other employees, I personally think she wonāt be the correct person for the part. Was it a racial thing or 210$ for a pant is to small of a purchase or she is like this to everyone?
I mean she did not even help us with anything just the billing out part (which could not handle correctly) and there is no way we as a consumer were rude or not respectful to her or the staff.
I can only wish we have a good experience in future as we the love brand in general.
Thank you

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had a truly appalling experience at the Alo Yoga store in the Eaton Centre. The female staff member I encountered was incredibly rude and racially profiled me. I returned an item that was brand new, with all tags still attached, just a week after purchase. Instead of accepting the return, she made disgusting and unfounded accusations about the item being soiled.
The sales associate's behavior was not only discriminatory but also deeply disrespectful. She pointed to the vaginal area on the clothing publicly, a completely inappropriate and humiliating act.
When I protested her claims, she stared at me as if I were lying, treating me with utter disrespect. I was forced to escalate the issue to customer service, who apologized for my experience. Unfortunately, as customer service is based in the US, I had to go through the hassle of returning the item at a different location in Canada.
I eventually managed to return the item at the Yorkville store without any issues. They were professional and helpful. The stark contrast between the two experiences was shocking. The Eaton Centre store's staff member's behavior was unacceptable and discriminatory. I would strongly advise anyone considering shopping at this location to think twice.
I urge Alo Yoga to take immediate action to address this issue. Training their staff to be more inclusive and polite is essential for creating a positive and welcoming environment for...
