As a loyal customer of the former MyMy Chicken in this same spot, we were sad to see it go. Chicken Plus has some huge shoes to fill, but so far, so good. We ordered takeout over the phone and were greeted by a friendly voice who informed us of all the details and an ongoing promotion. Our order was ready in under 20 minutes as promised and when we went to pick up, the same server greeted us as we entered the store with a genuine smile. We were only there for a moment but the service left a strong positive impression. We had previously ordered the bone-in chicken which I usually prefer, but this time we got boneless and we found it much more juicy. The boneless chicken also comes with fried rice cakes in the sauce which is so good! As a promotion we also received the cheeseling fries which we were pleasantly surprised that it seemed freshly prepared and made unlike other stores where fries are bought frozen in bulk. They were hot and crisp and the cheese powder on top made it feel like a special treat. Warning for people who are not familiar with Korean cheese seasonings: it's quite sweet, almost like cream cheese frosting with a whiff of cheddar, so be prepared! They seem to have other flavour options for the fries so I might try them next time.

Yummy chicken but there's lots of that in the Yonge and Finch area. What I really liked was the variety of flavours offered - I usually don't see creamy onion as an option, but it's one of my favourites! I came with a group of 6, and made a reservation in advance, but it probably wasn't necessary given it wasn't too busy even on a Saturday night. We ordered one boneless creamy onion, one bone-in Yang Nyeom, and one Cream Tteokbokki. For six people, this was definitely enough! We also got one pitcher of beer. All together, this was around $160 with tax and tip - pretty good. The chicken itself is not very cheap, but comparable to other places (around $38 for a full chicken). The one thing I would improve is the amount of sauce on the creamy onion chicken. Only a couple pieces had enough sauce to give any flavour - I had a couple pieces that were just normal fried chicken. Other than that, the flavour was good. The Yang Nyeom was sweeter than I expected but still good. I will probably be back at some point, due to the convenient location, but it's just as good as other places in the area.

Came by for dinner with a group of 7 on a Saturday @8PM. The staff welcomed us in and we were able to get a seat right away luckily. We ordered combo B that came with fish cake soup, rice cakes and a small chicken which we chose Hell Spicy. The apps were a great start to the meal and the hell spicy chicken was pretty spicy, equivalent to Buldak 2x spice noodles. It had good flavouring but understandably could be too hot to enjoy for most. The kimchi fries were ok, wasn’t a fan of the type of cheese they used but the portion was huge. Green onion chicken was delicious, the chicken here is crispy and juicy, no complaints at all! Cheesling chicken was surprisingly pretty good as well with good flavouring. Usually not a fan of the fake cheese powder but it was just the right amount of flavour and not an obnoxious amount. The staff here were extremely kind and outgoing and provided great service, definitely elevated the experience. Will definitely come back!

I had the worst dining experience here today. My friends and I came in to catch up and ordered fried chicken along with beers. This place was recommended by me, as I’ve visited several times before with my Korean friend and always had a good time. Unfortunately, today was completely different. As part of their policy, the staff asked for physical photo IDs, which is fair. Since most of us were not carrying physical IDs, I asked if digital ID would be acceptable. The male staff said no, it must be physical. We respected that and cancelled the beer order. However, shortly after, we saw customers at the next table present digital IDs and successfully order beers. That’s when we started wondering: why the double standard? Was it because of our ethnicity? This felt extremely unfair. When I brought this up politely, the male staff told me they were ā€œfriends of the other staff member.ā€ But that’s not the point—the issue was that digital IDs were accepted for them and not for us. The female staff then came over, insisted she had checked their IDs, and later went back to share our conversation with her friends (the same customers). This made the entire atmosphere very uncomfortable. From then on, the staff ignored us. Nobody checked on our table, asked if we needed anything else, or even said goodbye when we left. On the contrary, we noticed their friends switching tables and looking back at us, which only added to the discomfort. We felt disrespected, unwelcome, and singled out. This will be my last visit here, and I will make sure none of my friends return either. I truly hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that all customers are treated with fairness, respect,...

Tonight we dined at the Spring Garden location of Chicken Plus the Bar in North York.

The food was fabulous overall; the chicken dishes we ordered were both very fresh and portion sizes were generous. And they make the absolutely best onion rings and sweet potato fries we have ever eaten.

Suffice to say we highly recommend this restaurant for its interesting, albeit unexpected take on Korean Cuisine, including their variety of delicious and innovative dipping sauces for all types of taste buds…from the spicy, to the sweet, and also along the tamer end of the culinary spectrum.

Our lovely, cheerful, and very pleasant server, whose name is Nami was super attentive and patient with us as we were not familiar with the online table ordering system which is a very streamlined and client friendly method to employ.

Nami is so wonderful she deserves to get her own 5 STARS as she excels in ensuring the quality of service was superb throughout our restaurant stay.

Overall service is quick and efficient. It’s a great restaurant to dine in, or even to order in from and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We definitely will return to enjoy some of their other dishes.

Chicken Plus the Bar also has a fabulous selection of alcoholic drinks, as well as an extensive selection of beer for you to enjoy.

And for those of you who want to take a photo of yourself in their adorable, very bespoke photo booth located at the front of the restaurant, to post on your Instagram, they offer you that opportunity along with costumes and props that you can add to customize your look.

All in all an A Plus Experience at Chicken...

while walking past the window this evening i decided to stop in, having spent many months watching Korean Englishman on YouTube and wanting to try korean food / fried chicken!

super pleased with the moistness of the meat, crispiness of the skin, and the balance of sweetness with heat in the sauce! (can’t remember the name but i ordered the bone-in chicken and it was the option with two pepper icons measuring heat level). cheese balls had the quintessential cheese pull and cheese fries were crispy while fluffy inside and both i enjoyed the seasoning. complimentary pickled radish and popcorn were super tasty and a fun surprise to start! for non-drinkers i highly recommend the sparking plum soda if you’re into carbonated sodas with a bit of tartness

the staff were super friendly, kind, and patient, helping me decide what to order as well!!

very clean and warm atmosphere and ambiance! i’m quite sensitive to light and sound and the warm lighting and loud enough to hear but not too loud music volume made for a super comfortable dining experience!! the variety of music i appreciated as well, if you as well enjoy shazaming whenever you come across tunes you enjoy

i will definitely return to try the spiciest bone-in option next time :) thank you to all for the...
