I called to make an appointment and asked specifically for a strong, deep tissue massage, and the person on the phone assured me that I would be getting one. I arrived and the lady who gave me a massage definitely did not give a deep tissue massage. In fact, it was one of the weakest massages I've ever had, and it didn't really seem like she knew what she was doing. I kindly asked if she could use more strength, but even then, there was minimal improvement. I walked out in pain and dissatisfaction as I could have just foam rolled at home and got better results.
I mentioned this poor experience to the receptionist but could not understand her explanation. She charged me slightly less (which was still not worth it for what I got). I received a call from who I believe was the owner soon after and she apologized for the experience, which I did appreciate. She stated that the receptionist was new and therefore did not understand that I wanted a deep tissue massage. Found this odd as I was very clear about this on the phone.

Read moreThe young Asian owner lowers the star to between 0 and 1. If he was smart, he would remove himself from the front reception area to the cloak room. He has a terribly defensive attitude which is very unbecoming. I purchased 2 gift cards on Dec 23rd and within an hour returned to get a refund. He did not provide one. Not particularily a big deal if he explained to me in a cordial fashion that there were no refunds. However, he encouraged me to write this review, so here it is. Merry Christmas “Not very Awesome” Foot & Spa.

Three of the three comments he stated were made up. I did not request cash. He was the receptionist. I did not yell.

However, I am stunned at the quality of customer service by the owners at the front. They need to be more polite to customers and just have common sense on how to deal with tough situations. Just be honest. Please!
I have had two bad experiences with the owners working at front desk. This evening, I asked for a 50 minute massage. I ended up getting a 60 minute massage and did not mind paying for the 60 minutes as the masseuse did a fine job. But when the young gentleman at the front desk blantantly lied and accused me of requesting a 60 minute massage to cover his mistake leaves a sour taste in the customers mouth. Don't do that. Its not good customer service. Especially at a place that offers a good service. I paid the 60 minute massage without causing a scene but left feeling shocked.
The previous time the lady at the desk pushed a tip option at me. That is also bad practice.
