Left my original review for transparency. A truly organic experience with rocks hidden in the salad leaves, giving customers a fractured tooth and ignoring multiple attempts for contact. Exact same server, preset salad, and manager as my initial visit the week before. 4 attempts through multiple channels and three weeks later, with no initiative for follow-up from the establishment, the owner and his manager refuses to consider that staff human error could have been a factor. Why would any of your staff own up to it? You're just using confirmation bias. Any restaurant could say that their safety procedures are top-notch, yet food poisoning cases happen all the time. This experience has left me with a fractured tooth (molar), severe pain and stress on my mental health, and a $1400 dental bill that I am left with to foot alone. Not a single sliver of an apology, no refund on the original food item, and no offer of any compensation for my dental bill despite a clear timeline of messages, objective dental report, and photo evidence sent. The most apathetic and unaccountable restaurant owner I've ever come across in the Lower Mainland, who happens to own Chit Chat Burger Bar across the street as well. Unless if you have premium dental insurance or a vault full of gold, don't risk your health coming here or there. ------------------ So good! Tried a pre-set salad bowl off the menu and it was delicious. Surprisingly very fair prices for such fresh ingredients too. I believe all the greens are organic - everything is cleanly organized and arranged in front of customers. Good service as well. Will definitely revisit.

Review for Hungry Guys in Vancouver Had the pleasure of stumbling upon this cozy Mexican-themed bar & restaurant while shopping around Vancouver on vacation. I was initially drawn in by their enticing drink specials — $3.49 shots including choices like Jose Cuervo tequila, Malibu coconut rum, Fireball cinnamon whiskey, and both red and blue kamikazes. They didn't just win me over with their drink menu; their food options seemed diverse and delectable. I had just finished eating, but I had watched several other patrons, absolutely devour their tacos and burgers, and they look really good!!! The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with rustic countertops, soft seating, and high ceilings that give a spacious feel to the intimate setting. One of the standout features was the partially open kitchen; it's always reassuring to see a clean and well-maintained culinary space. I saw staff constantly making aa cleanliness effort. Tayanne was my server for most of the evening, and her friendly demeanour made me feel as if I was catching up with an old friend. Later, Vesa took over, ensuring the service quality remained impeccable. The presence of an attentive manager overseeing operations added an extra layer of professionalism. For solo travellers like myself or anyone for that matter, this spot guarantees comfort and a fantastic dining experience. If you're out shopping at Marshalls, Sephora, or any nearby “luxe” stores and fancy a reasonably priced meal/snack or quick drink, I highly recommend this gem. It’s a wonderful place to unwind, whether you choose the bar or a comfy table. Cheers to a memorable experience!

During my first visit to British Columbia on December 28, 2024, I decided to explore the local dining scene and tried Hungry Guy Kitchen and Bar, a place recommended by a local. It turned out to be a great suggestion, offering a memorable dining experience with only minor hiccups. The restaurant’s atmosphere stood out right away. The selection of music complemented the cozy and modern vibe, creating an inviting and energetic ambiance. The layout was thoughtfully arranged, ensuring both comfort and aesthetic appeal. The servers were courteous and attentive, adding to the overall welcoming feel. For our meal, my friend and I chose the chicken pasta paired with a glass of Pinot Grigio. The drink was refreshing and paired well with the pasta’s flavors. While the pasta tasted nice, I found it a bit too dry—possibly because it had been sitting out too long before it reached our table. This slightly affected the experience but didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment. In summary, Hungry Guy Kitchen and Bar provided a positive experience for my first restaurant visit in BC. With its vibrant atmosphere, good service, and flavorful dishes, I would recommend it to others visiting the area, though I hope they address minor details like food presentation and timing.
