If you’re Asian, I strongly advise you not to visit this place. I came here for the first time based on a recommendation. Although I’ve been living in Canada more than a year, this was the first time I experienced such blatant racism. We only stayed briefly, drinking beer without causing any trouble, and We're left a sufficient tip(+18%)However, the server was leaving after her shift, she suddenly hit our table hard with her hand and glared at us before walking out. Confused and upset, we reported this to the manager, but they dismissed the situation, saying they hadn’t witnessed it themselves. If we had done something rude, I would completely understand. But all we did was quietly drink beer for an hour among ourselves. This was by far the worst service I’ve experienced in Canada, and I still can’t understand what happened. I don’t know the nationalities of your staff, but you are operating a business under the name of a nation’s capital. I hope you take responsibility for what that represents.

I have been to this place twice in a span of almost two years. Its a decent place with friendly staff. There is a pool table upstairs which goes by who wins, keeps the table- rule. So, if you are a newbie to the game, 1 game is all you'll get time for as the pros(compared to me) keep winning and don't let go of the pool table. Either go earlier or wait until they are too drunk to play and swoop in. Food is alright. Burgers are alright but wasn't a fan of the tenders, was tasteless, the dip helped me get through that, immensely. A decent place to hang since there are decent beers on tap.

As an official and recognized Real Madrid fan-club, we were searching in Vancouver for a place to hold a large events, and Dublin Calling not only made this happened, but also made us feel welcomed. Perfect location, best TVs layout, great food, and excellent service. GM of this place is super responsive. We glad that we finally found place we were looking for, and can call it a headquarter. We can't thank Dublin Calling enough and definitely recommending this location for all your big or small events!!

I have had it with this place, I have come here multiple times for different events and it has been a consecutively worse experience each time. The first time I came was for my birthday 2 years ago, I had created a guest list which was confirmed over email, when we got to the venue they acted like I never made one and my name was nowhere on the list which caused trouble, I had to text the manager and then it was finally sorted after 20 minutes. The next year I decided to have another birthday there as I like the venue, I set up another guest list through email and it was confirmed twice, the day came and yet again they said I was nowhere on the list and I had to talk to management who eventually figured it out after a long wait, once we got in the “DJ” was absolutely awful, they didn’t have the dart boards set up and the dance floor was full of people wondering how to dance to old Taylor Swift music and Retail radio music, there was an extremely drunk man that was wailing around like a lunatic and almost kicked 5 people in the face and security was nowhere to be seen. I went another time for a friend’s birthday; the “DJ” (if you can call him that) was awful just playing retail radio with a couple of Soundcloud playlists in between and he basically walked away from the DJ booth and put on the standard bar radio when it wasn’t even the end of the night, horrible. The final nail in the coffin was on this Halloween weekend, I set up a guest list through email weeks prior to the event, It was confirmed through 2 different people, when I arrived the girl at the front (who was polite) said we were not on any list (it was all written in pencil on a scrap paper) I said that it was confirmed with Bobby who just happened to walk by and she asked him and he said “I don’t know who that is it’s $14 cover” when in his email he specifically said cover is discounted at $12 for guest list. The girl gave us the $12 cover and I showed her the emails just to prove that I had in fact made the list she just apologized and I left it at that. We get into the main bar and the service was very good, I never have an issue with the servers or food/bar but once again the DJ was sub-par only playing one genre of music with nothing varying in-between. Only come here if you are just looking to chill out with food and some friends, don’t ever bother creating a guest list as they are incompetent at making even just that. Terrible for dancing, floors are filthy; DJ’s are mediocre at best. The only positive feedback I have is that the theme is done well, the atmosphere is nice, the layout is great, the staff(not management) are almost always friendly and helpful, and the...

My girlfriend's and I went to the Rooftop last weekend for dinner/drinks and planned to head downstairs for some late night fun.

I ordered a margarita bucket and was super impressed with the idea until I got a piece of glass up through my straw and in my mouth. I alerted our server who was nice about it, took the drink off the bill, brought me a different drink and brought us a round of shots. She also said they were emptying the ice bin to make sure it didn't happen to anyone else. I was impressed with how she handled it but glass in my drink is a huge problem.

We had two more friends meet us so we ended up as a group of 5. After the first round of 5 drinks we were hard pressed to get a server to come by and offer another round. We raised our hands, said excuse me, made eye contact and were pretty disappointed when we were unable to get another drink or have anyone acknowledge us for at least a half an hour after our drinks were emptied. Finally someone came by and we decided to give up on the place and ask for our bills. The server brought us one long bill and explained she couldn't separate it because she didn't know what we all had. We had to tell her who had what. After processing one of our payments she took one of our Visa cards and walked away with it and the machine with no explanation as to why. When she came back she started to process another payment and left while my friend entered her pin. We didn't see her again for a long while so the last of us to pay flagged another person down and he said he would go get her. She eventually came back and said she would cover the last drink so we wasted another chunk of time waiting for her for nothing.

A lot of ups and downs for a new place. We intended to spend the whole night there and left feeling pretty bummed. Hopefully a little more customer service training can get this rooftop in place. Pretty cool space to hang out if they can work...

We ordered a cider and a glass of red wine. The bartender was a bit dismissive, but also very busy. Understandable on a Friday night. I paid the $9,50 + taxes + tips for a total of $12,9 for a 6oz glass of red wine.

At the first taste I found the wine was smelly, rough, very sweet and honestly disgusting. It seemed and tasted like a corked wine. I had one small sip and I couldn’t drink it. I brought the glass back, asked the server if she had something else cause this was not drinkable. She laughed at me and said it was the only red wine she had. I then asked to change that for a pint of beer. She said « ok » and asked me to pay for it. I asked if she was going to refund me for the glass of wine that I was not going to drink and she decided to call the manager. The guy came after 5 minutes, it was the bigger blonde guy with curly hair and a yellow jacket. He told me that if I was unhappy with the wine quality, it belonged to me and that he couldn’t do anything since it was red wine as indicated on the menu. When I explained that this was not drinkable he said « it’s still red wine though! » with a smirk on his face. I then decided to let go, left the full glass of wine at the bar, asked my friend to quickly drink his cider and we left and went to another place.

I believe that we are going through difficult times and that not everybody can afford nights out very often. When we are able to, we want to have a good time and to be treated right. Tonight at Dublin Calling, left a bad taste unfortunately. Being dismissed like that without options or solutions and spending $12,9 for nothing was not was I was expecting.

Tonight, your business might have made $12,9 from me, but it also lost two potential regular clients because of that...
