Vancouverâs newest âGentlemanâs Clubâ The Granville Strip is quite possibly one of the best new venues to open in Vancouverâs downtown core in some time. You get an immediate feeling walking in the front doors that The Strip is comfortable, open, and exciting environment. There are several seating options from private booths, couches, and tables. As well a second storey with several balcony view seating options. Everyone has a vantage point to view the amazing acts on the main stage. Yes, I said âActsâ⌠This is not your typical club where the dancers get on stage and disrobe in a matter of minutes leaving you wondering why or when the next dancer is going to appear. At The Strip the dancers provide full entertainment with acrobatics using hoops, cloth slings, and the tallest main stage pole you have ever seen. I was lucky enough to enjoy an evening where the dancer did an entire act using fire, it was beautiful, and mesmerizing.
The private booths are guaranteed to provide entertainment value directly to you and your guests. I was fortunate enough to have a group that wanted the added privacy and personal touch that comes with the procurement of the private booth. We were able to enjoy our evening without interruption. The staff at the Strip are courteous, attentive, and ready & willing to please. The servers were on top of their game making sure we were always taken care of without being pushy. The same could be said for the private dancers. The private dancers were there to have a good time like everyone else. When we were not prepared to invest in a private dances we enjoyed each otherâs company without any commitments, and when we were ready for the dancers to entertain us they were courteous, engaging and entertaining. Several of my companions participated in personal private dances. I believe the same principals and allure of the dances provide at the booths with the added personal touches of being one on one.
The Strip is not just a âGentlemanâs Clubâ, itâs a night club. Yes there are several woman in various stages of undress throughout, but The Strip is a safe environment where people can express themselves through their sexuality, their desires, and their relationships. I felt compelled to bring my wife my next visit because I felt more at comfortable in this environment than at some pubs Downtown where you feel unwelcome if you are not of a certain wealth or status. Unlike other establishments (no names) the feeling is dark, uninviting, and in some cases scary. The Strip has ample security without being noticeable. At no time did I get the feeling However at The Strip I found myself dancing, laughing with other patrons, and generally feeling amazing. This all while being stone sober. I didnât feel any pressure to drink, and when I explained to the staff that I was the DD for the night they were immediately offering me beverages of non-alcoholic manner water, pop, coffee, and always very appreciative of the fact I was driving my mates for the evening.
I have come to the conclusions that The Strip is everything I want in a place I can go to and feel safe, feel comfortable, spend time with my friends, and have no pressure. I have to mention that this is definitely not a place to show up if you are strapped for cash. I mean câmon itâs Downtown on Granville⌠This also means that you shouldnât be showing up in your best Redneck or B-Boy outfit. Dress appropriately, cause there are some really pretty girls that were there when I was, and they were dressed to the nines⌠The DJ keeps the music pumping so be prepared to spend some time on your feet, so again wear shoes that will keep you on your toes. And always remember to bring money for tips. These woman...
Read moreWent to the Granville Strip unexpectedly last night. Not a regular patron of gentlemanâs clubs but the bar has a nightclub feel where male and female patrons are present. The stage performers (I try not to use the term âstripperâ as it sounds denigrating in most social circles, especially to women) are athletic combining artistic, circus and/or acrobatic maneuvers in their routine. I challenge anyone to climb a 20 foot pole let alone performing circus/acrobatic manoeuvres at the same time. It is not easy. The club has go-go dancers on a small side stage/oversized bird cages. It has a âVegasâ vibe without the large scale grandiosity in Las Vegas. The cleanliness was impressive as I rarely noticed any spills from drinks or garbage on the floor or tables last night. As a guy who supports the charter of rights and freedoms, it is important that it is equally friendly to women, lgbtq+, etc⌠in addition to male patrons. In other words a safe atmosphere for everyone from what Iâve observed the several times I went since opening in 2016. A nice place for well behaved, mature adults to enjoy the performances. Little to no attitude here that is present in other late night bars and clubs. I did not notice hoop or aerial silks last night but I am certain there are performances involving the apparatus as Iâve seen in years prior. Incidentally I wonder if they will show sporting events on TV screens in the future. Upstairs only, perhaps? Or maybe a pool table on the second floor if feasible. No expectations. If you want to try something different than a typical drinking establishment, visit Granville Strip. It is more than just a âgentlemanâs clubâ that is open to all and has a Vegas style vibe with choreography dance show routines. Be polite and respectful to staff/patrons ie do unto others as they would do unto you. This results in less attitude where people can enjoy themselves and the performances. Continue to be safe and healthy as we enter cold/flu season and do not need another wave of COVID variants that could lead to another lockdown (not likely so farâŚ) causing businesses to shut down for a period of time⌠including the Granville Strip...
